If I didn't still need two seats in the back of my car, I would upgrade my 2 series into an A110. Sigh.

@epicurean_driver Жыл бұрын
Great video, thanks for sharing! Quick question: I understood from different articles that you did not recommend the A110S SRBs due to the fact that they generate understeer. However, in your videos including this one, you have it. Does this mean you think that for track usage you think they are great whereas for road usage, they are not?

Awesome video! That was me in the GT4! You had me! I pulled in to let you go but guess you had to come in to cool down. Great fun!
@Alpine_LIFE1102 жыл бұрын
Yes that was fun. Better cooling on the GT4 so it could keep lapping! I was making up nearly all the time under braking, need to go late and hard!
@jamesbath10272 жыл бұрын
@@Alpine_LIFE110 You are completely right - you hugely closed up on braking. I was lucky I had power to pull away on the straights :-) I am still working on my bravery in the braking zones...especially that monster one off the back straight!
@Alpine_LIFE1102 жыл бұрын
@@jamesbath1027 This is the best tutorial I've seen: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sJOVedNy2puUoqc.html I'd also suggest ramping up braking force at your usual braking point as it teaches your brain that there is more braking available and you braked too early. But it still takes a moment to sail past your usual braking point....

Porsche smorsche! Great laps, Cup2s clearly providing an edge over the 4S especially given the temp, aero seems to be doing the trick down the back straight too into the chicane also, stable as 🧐

hey mate, im in the process of deciding between a gts 4.0 and an alpine a110. once i spec the alpine fully and allow for some choise life110 bits, its pretty close to a gts 4.0. knowing what you know now, would you still walk past the gts to have an alpine?

The fastest 3 cars on the day all had Cup2s, I was 2 seconds faster than second place in a similar spec car. The tyre is about 1.5 secs a lap faster at Cadwell.

He means, with the same drivers. It's obvious that semi slick tires are way more efficient compare to "normal" tires. I was there on the track and the advantage of the tires is clearly visible, you can even hear the difference ;-)

Excellent, paddles arrived in the post this morning, immediately fitted to the car . I followed your video with my iPad resting on the passenger seat, only took me 15 minutes to fit. The quality of the paddles is outstanding, they’re a work of art in themselves. Then out for a ‘test drive’…love them, ergonomically correct with the perfect texture and lip. Note - I found if you pull the steering wheel out to it’s maximum extension it allows you more space to remove the steering column cowls.

I fitted mine today....very easy! I also noticed that the whole column behind the steering wheel (where the paddles and so are mounted on) can move a little, so you need to make sure everything is aligned straight otherwise one paddle will be higher then the other one (just a small detail).
@simonhourihan76533 жыл бұрын
Fitted today, took a bit longer than David but I was being very careful. One pin was a bit tight but loosened with a bit of pushing in & out. Bit of care needed clipping all the covers back to ensure all aligned.
