The 2020 imac 27" is still awesome! Apple is too good at brainwashing people. The M chips are fine, esp vs the 2015 macbook (That was the last good macbook before). But most people don't need those specs (and no vram, 16 gb ram at best), what they need is everything what the old imac was.

buy the lowest brand new model right when apple is about to announce the new devices, apple is more expensive here in the philippines due to imports and taxes so i got my iphone 11 for 620$ when converted to usd (if i waited long enough i would've gotten it for a bit cheaper) while my ipad 9th gen was bought in the states last week so my mom got it for 250$ (still cheaper compared to the discounted price here in the philippines). i also have an m1 macbook air but we got it when it was the newest model, though it would really be a good buy now since the stores are selling it for cheap. if you want a brand new budget ecosystem then go ahead and buy the same ipad and/or mac, though you should go for a newer iphone now because the 11 is showing it's age.

Samsung have actually decreased the ViewFinity S9 to only $1000 making it a much more compelling buy, however if you look to the used market you can find a good condition Lg Ultrafine 5k for about 550-600 dollars however you might have to deal with the several display issues with the ultrafine that are becoming more and more common as they get older. Another thing to point out is there seems to be a lot of people having problems with the VeiwFinity breaking down having dead pixels and with it being not so seamless with MacBooks like the studio display with it straight up refusing to connect to them or the image looking bad, which might be the reason for the price decrease. I would still say its a good monitor just might not be as seamless as the studio display.

Android tablets are way better than ipads to me. Yeah so apps aren't as optimized as ipad apps, but if you learn to use it you can do way more than some stupid iPad.

Most computer reviews asking if it’s good enough to be your only machine are from a KZfaqrs perspective (I know makes sense because it’s a KZfaqr reviewing it) but 99% of people who buy this aren’t going to be editing video, most of them are just going to be watching KZfaq, web browsing and doing word documents for work ect. My old iMac died in 2019 and I’ve been using an iPad ever since and just an air 2 and recently an air 5. Most people don’t need to be rendering hours of 8k footage 🤷🏻‍♂️

Even till this day the 13 remains a great phone I just got one brand new back in Nov as a backup phone excellent battery performance and a damn good camera it’s the perfect size even with a case on it the 60hz isn’t terrible at all it’s smooth enough and iOS 17 has been problem free

Hey, that's a nice concept. Like treating a Web browser as a workspace rather than a browser. Hey how about this in mobile we have these different app logo right. So, make the tabs like those app logos, where the logo for the tabs would be the favicons of the tab. Then the Web browser would be like you own phone or computer or something. That would be so cool.

I do think that moving in a more non all in one Mac desktop direction is the way to go in the 2020 decade, because I don't think too many people are buying a Mac mini, keyboard, mouse, and monitor nowadays. Typically I would say most people and pretty much all offices already have keyboards, mouses, and monitors. There's also all the E-waste too with iMacs, the sad thing about the iMac is that now that all the intel ones are becoming obsolete people are having to ditch a computer with a perfectly good 4k/5k screen they can't do anything with. I wish apple had a program where you could bring in your 21.5/27 inch iMacs and have them retrofit them into sudo studio displays, gut all the insides and recycle the old logic board, hard drive, and use the display, speakers and webcam to turn it into a really nice 4k/5k monitor. I think if they did that for even an insane price like $400-500 people would do it, I know I would. I also miss the convenience of an all in one iMac but down the line I believe they've become a big source of e-waste with people ditching them for apple silicon.

When the first 13” M1 MacBook Pro came out in 2020 it had the same 8GB of non upgradable RAM as the 13” i5 MacBook did in 2013 but that had Mountain Lion with 2GB minimum RAM requirements and the M1 had Big Sur with 4GB minimum RAM requirements. The entire range of Macs with 4-P core M series CPUs, with no change in pricing, should have 16/512 in place of 8/256 and 24/1TB in place of 8/512. There’s no excuse for either their inflated RAM and SSD costs or charging as much for an extra 16GB RAM on M1/2/3 systems, Pro versions included, as they do for 32GB on Max and Ultra systems. The token increase to 18 or 36GB on the M3 Pro systems with their lower P-core count than M1 Pro and M2 Pros is laughable.
