Our scientists have done a miracle getting Kaveri program to this flight stage. Avg cost of engine development program in West countries with decades of experience is 20 billion dollars. China has invested 50 billion in engine development. India has spent 500 million on Kaveri. We don't even have all the test facilities or a flying test bed.

Kaveri has already given good results in high altitude testing in Russia. Subsequently, Godrej was asked to manufacture the prototypes.
