How can i change the width and color of composite curves as a deffault ?
@learnNX4 күн бұрын
Composite curves have no object class, so you can't give them a default colour. 🙁
@TheJohnterry164 күн бұрын
@@learnNX Yes, that is a serious absence of the software. Thanks
@learnNXКүн бұрын
@@TheJohnterry16 Why do you want to change the colour of composite curves? Maybe there is another solution.
@TheJohnterry16Күн бұрын
@@learnNX I am a trim designer and working on catia, when I extract a curve from any surface or solid, I can see it clearly. It will be visible there unless I hide it, so I can use that curve anytime I want. But in Nx, when I forget position of the curve, I have to find it on product tree or create new one. Also I can’t be sure if the curve is faulty unless I don’t click on it from product tree. These are bothering.
@learnNXКүн бұрын
@@TheJohnterry16 Which curves do you mean? Composite curves? Extracted curves? Face curves? What are your next steps? A little tip: NX is not Catia. Perhaps a different way of working makes more sense. Give me more details to support you.

Select your top assembly in the Assembly Navigator (AN) and click Select Assembly on the shortcut menu. Click in the area highlighted in blue and click Properties on the shortcut menu. Select the Mass tab and check the setting for "Update mass properties on save". Select Yes. Save your top assembly. In AN, click Columns on the shortcut menu and select Mass (kg). (and now I have an idea for a new video)

Thank you for all the hard work you do producing these tutorials. Has really helped me. One question, how do you manage to have all your sketches hidden without manually hiding them. All my sketches show unless I hide them myself. Thanks
@learnNX22 күн бұрын
You start with the Sketch command and then Extrude or Revolve. I start with the Extrude or Revolve command first and start the sketch with "Sketch Section" at the top of the command. This creates an internal sketch. If you right-click on the extrude in the part navigator, you can later make the sketch external. If you have an external sketch, right-click on the Extrude or Revolve command in the Part Navigator and make your sketch internal, but only if you have not created a second extrude with the same sketch.
