Why does scale lower heater efficiency? Resistive heaters are by their nature always 100% efficient. The only thing I could imagine is that scaling on the heating element slows the heat transfer causing the element to overheat and either trip a thermal fuse or increase its internal resistance thus lowering the heat output (and electricity consumption). So I genuinely don't understand how that ohmic array could save energy compared to standard resistive heater.

You also can get a double channel hall sensor with output MOSFETs from a fan. It drives the coils depending on the magnet position. Can be used in different electrical toys and DIY automation.

Why doing this when you have diodes? Make a gear rack + another gear on the generator shaft. Let it rotates any wise it wants. Rectify the generator output. Profit!

Making a wire thermal battery from a couple of thousands of wire pieces isn't that hard. And such a battery can withstand very high temperatures. Not much voltage it can give but current should be sufficient. You just need to weld all the junctions on a graphite rod. Something like constantan and nichrome is available.

Once I had to install an RCD in a house located on a separate plot. It was necessary, among other things, to correctly connect two grounding wires from electrodes in different places - one directly on the site, and the other somewhere on a power pole in the distance. Both ground electrodes are made of steel. The potential between these two grounds was sufficient to trip the RCD. I also connected the multimeter, but I don’t remember at all what it showed.

Heat is not a very good way to store energy (unless you need exactly the thermal energy), since all thermal converters (internal combustion engines, Peltier elements, Stirling engines) have low efficiency, which, moreover, drops even lower at the slightest deviation of the system parameters from the conditionally ideal. Perhaps gravitational accumulation is best suited, i.e. raising a certain working mass to a certain height. Often this is pumping water from bottom to top, but it can also be lifting a solid, heavy load. Such potential energy can be much more simply and efficiently converted into electrical energy using a conventional generator. And the efficiency of electric machines is rarely below 70%.

For reference: the resonant frequency of water molecules is about 2.4 GHz. This is what microwave ovens work on. So yes, there is definitely no resonance in this device. However, thermal effects may occur in a dielectric placed in an alternating electric field. (in case of deionized water). Electrode direct heaters ARE actually used but not in households due to their obvious inconsistency with the electrical safety rules -- water stays electrified through the process. They are also quite demanding to water "saltness" -- too many ions causes short cirquit, too few -- device isn't working or does it slow. In addition, they leave behind various electrolysis (yes, it goes but slightly different than on DC) products after the process, which may be completely unacceptable in the further use of water. Their main use -- on big production sites and with voltages like 3-12 kV considering all the safety measures. And, mainly, to just produce just heat -- not water to use it.

Very good concept brought back and forth by cydem. but this suits me, it is a common savonius in the garden. rotor 134x75cm metal flange 70cm with 32 magnets and 30mm plywood board with 32 coils. this almost always works even in the forest and charges 12v batteries.. the power is not great but a constant small charge keeps and fills the batteries.

OR : leave it straight up & down, and stack, blades & generator heads, one on the other and go as high as ya, like, that is my favorite idea " The second " one I mean...
