honestly im rooting for Comac. we really need a break in the duopoly and with the massive backorder at Airbus and the shitshow at Boeing now is the perfect time. im hoping we see more manufacturers pop up in the coming years to take advantage of this, or even strictly GA companies branching out. i for one love the idea of a Cirrus or Pilatus narrowbody.

What happens to Wizz and other low cost carriers if the EU as a whole bans short haul air travel as in France and Spain. If the journey can be competed in 2.5 hours by train, airline flights are barred.

Not a chance I’d set foot on WestJet as you will more than likely end up on a 737 MAX.

You're more likely to end up on a vintage 737-700 or 800. But they're not exactly a great airline to fly with in recent years.

Yeh, keep focus of emissions and noise around airports and you will become tiny, insignifficant destination, any dreams of large hubs in Europe long gone, tousands and tousands of jobs lost.

Seriously, does anybody actually say, "half a thousand"? 😂 Now, in today's edition of DJs Airbus Aviation.... The A350 is not quieter than the 787. The more likely reason why the airline would consider Airbus is because they already operate Airbus, so they won't have to train pilots or rebuild their infrastructure for a new type such as the 787. And, more capacity would make sense especially since Air Belgium is essentially bust, leading to more passengers for them, so an A350 instead of A330 makes sense. Simple as that. The Lufthansa group has a diverse fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft, especially in the widebody sector, so while the Airbus love is understandable, it's no reason to try and stuff a square peg into a round hole by claiming fleet streamlining within the group. A big headline touting an A350 order turns out to be a nothing burger.
@gregsmith341020 сағат бұрын
I caught that as well... another knock on the 787..too noisy to land at restricted airports now...highly doubtful !!
@Charles-sn7zy20 сағат бұрын
What a bogus claim...like the 787 is reminiscent of some old unhushkitted 727 or BAC 111 with the noise.. Ridiculous claim on 787 noise levels....

I believe that given the history of the airline industry, something will happen that effects airlines in a way that will make most airlines regret their hefty orders and end up canceling and/or delaying their aircraft deliveries. This will happen because it always does in the boom or bust industry.

Emirates carries on expanding its route network almost unchecked. With the airline continuing to operate the 'Russian Oligarch Route' from Moscow to the UAE it's high time that western governments challenged the company for its tacit support of Putin. Moreover, with the UAE also declaring that they 'stand with Iran', passengers need to vote with their feet.

I just came from San Diego to Seattle on an Alaska Airlines 737 MAX and what a nice plane it is. Those engines sound sweet on takeoff and the flight felt smooth and it was quieter than the older variants of the 737.
