Currently, I am on an antidepressant for, you guessed it, depression. Nearly every one of these things, I am doing. But I don’t know how to do otherwise. I don’t know how to set SMART goals because for my entire life, I have only ever set VAPID ones. The only reason anything ever got done was because people told me what to do. I try to sleep and wake consistently but I cannot. If I am not tired, I cannot sleep no matter how hard I try because my mind does not shut up (thanks ADHD). This video is depressing for me because it paints the image that I cannot change the course, no matter how much I wish I could. I am stuck in a whirlpool that is dragging me down.

If you're looking at a runway with 36 and 18 as the two directions and your compass says your heading is 174 degrees, you're not going to have trouble figuring out what direction to land in when the air traffic controller directs you to 18.
