Heyy, I have no clue how to optimize or not kill my y740 or laptops in general so some more hands on wisdom would be great. I know itll get hot and its normal, but ive gone through 2 battery pack changes because it bloats alot and i dont rly take care of it that well even when i kinda know how to reduce my abuse on it. but recently its been getting hot like 70c - 80c when im doing basic work and on calls with my cam on. and alot worse like i could cook an egg when gaming. like super hot to the touch maybe 100c. please i dont wanna have this thing catch my place on fire

While playing on external 4k monitor on max settings my gpu temp il like 84-87° C with max fan speed (80ish on 2k laptop monitor) which i guess is in line with your video. Why i keep seeing online laptop reviews with 75ish degrees then?

I have Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9, after 3-4 days i found below laptop that dust is outside of fans, i live in place that there is always dust and dog hair around the house no matter how much you clean house, Any advice how to clean without opening? Afraid to open and damage laptop, is vacuum cleaner good from outside with little speed?

Decent laptop but needs better panels and there's no excuse for that nor any excuse for the USB A ports being Gen 1. Otherwise it's pretty good and has good clock speeds and excellent GPU thermals.

Their ridiculous power limits completely gimp the machine, as proven here. Yet they are the most expensive laptops around. Avoid like the plague.

You forgot about Cost of Frame peer Watt. As i see, you spend 180% more power for 33% of frame boost (looking from laptop GPU side) ...GLHF Seriously, people still do not take into consideration THIS aspect? Don't you pay your own bills? Those adds up every month and money could be invested into new rig, after 4-5 years that's quite a buck we are talking here. Not only that, considering pure GPU performance / efficiency ...underpowered 175W GPU eats less power for every frame generated, but even if it was equal that's not detriment at all. Buy price is one thing, operational is the other.

I bought my new Gaming laptop asus and its awesome! But, i have a problem that everytime i take the plug off the computer, it becomes so laggy almost 5 seconds to open an application. The whole pc becomes so bad that boot time almost becomes even double the time.

g14 2024 is the best design a gaming laptop has ever offered. If your job isn´t gaming and you like to play at ultra settings this is the best there is. Honestly it´s pretty embarrassing to bring any other gaming laptop to my office.

I'd love to see: 1) high spec laptop with discrete graphics (eg. Xps17) vs egpu vs desktop. I'd like to see what sort of gap there is. 2) instead of games, I'd love to see content creation blender, unreal engine, davinci, premiere pro, after effects.

My 4070 eats upto 134 watt in games and reach 87C and thermal throttle so I think this 115 is maybe there to prevent over heating Mine is legion slim 5 11700H + 4070
