"Cartridges of the World" describes it as the best cartridge bolt gun available for the big game hunter. I don't have personal experience with it but from what I have read, I can easily believe it. I wouldn't try to beat the pros at their own game.

I have seen the Magazine mentioned but havent picked one up,THAT will change. I will however Toss it if any Hypemoor Crap in it. That includes Hype on PRCs n other +÷=×moores.. 😉😁 Am beyond sick of reading articles that over mention them. I dont mind John Doe mentioning I used a Hypemoor n this or that Load.. I do mind its the greatest thing cartridge since white sliced store bought bread..

The legacy of the legendary hunter, so many things an item could witness, if a gun could talk, it would speak of it's previous owners glorious journey, may it be a sniper nicknamed the white death or a hunter who hunted monsters, monsters that brought fear and dread to people, monsters that were binded on their own nature, monsters who's in pain and illness, honoured to die at the hands of a legend, a glorious death for a glorious creature, both wonderful and terrifying.

Greetings from Australia...nice vid and all but I have to ask...in SO many stalking vids I see one rifle shared amongst a group of people...why? Here in Oz there would be as much chance of sharing your rifle as sharing your wife / husband / girlfriend / boyfriend! Surely these people are not so clumsy / stupid that they can't be trusted to bring along and use their own firearm? I know that this showcases the release of a new rifle but all these stalking vids are the same...one bloke carrying the rifle and handing over to the shooter when the time comes to let a round go. Not sure what anyone else thinks but to me it's a bit insulting really.

Jim didn't enjoy hunting them he did it out of love for his fellow man he preferred to shoot with a camera more than a gun. But he was a great shot with both.

Jim Corbett had already killed many maneaters when he was given this rifle in appreciation for his efforts. They show a double rifle and a bolt action rifle in the traveling display in India. Being from a British officers family he probably used a sporterized 303 Enfield rifle for his bolt action rifle. The British had peculiar ways of describing their calibers. The .275 caliber was basically a 7mm. Was it 7x57? or a 303 case necked down to 7mm? A look through Cartridges of the World might shed some light on the subject. The 7x57 was very popular for all kinds of hunting. Karamojo Bell killed more than 50 elephants with a 7x57 rifle firing full metal jacket military surplus ammo. Those men were great shots with nerves of steel.

.275 was and is a 7x57 cut for lighter bullets 140 grain chamber . But some used it with different chamber for the standard 7x57 160 or best 173 grain bullet . The 173 was the one Bell used for many of his elephants , due to ammo worked and bullet did not misbehave . But more of it , he used German surplus military ammo and those bullets and case was much better than others similar he came across .

Great promo Rigby, excellent rifles. Tradition’s are great, not many people can enjoy these due to cost. As an American who has hunted big and small game all over the US You go to hunt, to hunt it what you put into it, the people who you encounter, and get out of it to make it better and memorable.
