We spent a morning wandering down the Mission Trail from north to south. Fascinating places to discover. San Jose was a pretty interesting stop. History can be fun too.

Was someone shooting while you were talking about the bushcraft camp? Those sure were pretty lakes. Perfect day for it. That pond was on fire. Gorgeous fish. I love the "Heck Yeah" after the tree butt comment. 😂

Crystal Lake Trailhead was good to you this time! You found yourself a honey hole - catching on every cast sounds awesome! Pretty fish, great colors, and a pretty lake too! Fun to see Duck Lake again and a few of this other lakes that we explored last year. Really nice that you had the area to yourself, and a nice cozy camp spot. As it was getting dark I could see the reflection of the moon in the lake - I’d love to sit out by the campfire and watch the moon and stars… 👌👍👍 So what did you end up eating for dinner? I hope it was a meal you like, maybe you’ll have a fresh fish to eat tomorrow! 😄🎣🐟🐟🐟 Awesome catching! Have a great day, Jen and Steve

Nice job packs. I have fished every lake in that area. I have never caught a decent sized fish in that lake ever. Gps isn't always the greatest. There is a whole lot easier way to get to that lake without going the way you did.

I recognize that lake! It used to be one that we would visit when the crowds were really thick in that area. One year we went there, and there were no fish rising in there, and a lot of them were dead on the surface. Good to see it has become a good fishery again! There is a campsite in there that has stone furniture in it that we used to stay at. I was over the pass catching fish during that moon as well! That storm that came in the next day was no joke. Beat it to the exit vehicle by one hour! Look forward to see how you did with that on your exit! Fish on!

Wow there’s actually quite a bit of trails there. Have you done them all? Hahah yeah kind of realized you were going solo. Oh man. Hate when my shoes get wet. Did that while running trails in Colorado. Was trying to get a good shot and had to cross a stream and stepped right in lol. Luckily I was wearing crocs. So no wet socks and dried quick. Mountain lakes are so pretty. We saw some red berries up on a Colorado mountain and wasn’t sure what they were. We didn’t eat them in case they were poisonous. Nice catch right away. Butt tree 😂 Good tip to let someone know where you are. We always let one of our kids know our basic itinerary before we head out even down to the camp spot we plan to be at. Another good catch. You picked a great time to do some fishing. Always like a nice active fishing trip. Nice campfire and lovely camp spot.

You like those cruises mind and why not, they always look so awesome (fog apart). I would not trust myself on a mountain bike with those stunning views, I would be driving right off the road. Waterfall was stunning but how weird was that to bump into co workers' at dinner lol. Loved the leaping whale sculpture and if you are afraid of water, big up to you for going on the motorboat and Kristy turned out to be a real good driver, not sure if you were enjoying it mind lol! One thing for sure Kristy was not going to catch a chill out on deck whale watching.....and pretty cool to see them too. Looked a fun trip, cheers Alan

Couldn't ask for much nicer spot, both scenery and fishing. I see this year your using jigs more instead of Jake's, are they working better for you?
@Packsalot
@Packsalot 2 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yes, it depends on the lake. If the lake is primarily tiger trout, I found that the jigs have been working much better than the Jake. For brookies, most of the time they will go for the Jake but the stubborn ones want the jig. This year I have been using both and have had much better success than previously years. Having the option between both the jig and the jake is the way to go. Thanks for watching. Good luck on your fishing. Have a great day.

The waterfall was a bit of a disappointment mind lol but fair play, it was man made. Trail looked a bit rough in places with tree crossings, steps and mankey water. hat snake looked small but it it was venomous, I would be heading the other way. I would be happy with the beautiful flowers but not the snake, cheers Alan

Was that a gas valve? Um sorry I’m not technical, but I can take things apart and put them back together again. My machine is doing this too, only 1 yr old premiers pump.

@@plainandsimple2576 That is great to hear. I'm hearing this success from others as well. Happy freeze drying and have a great day.

Very impressive Canyon! I love looking at those 1,500' walls! The river sure is low... was very low when were were there too. We drove by this area in the afternoon- it was super hot that day and they were recommending Not hiking- so we didn't walk along the river... I wonder if December or January is a cooler month to visit. Anyhoo- Big Bend NP is amazing, glad you got to visit!! 👍👍

Windy, hot and dry, but a great visit to this park! Great that they had a guided tour! The fossils and pictographs were amazing- both very old in their own right. I'd love to see all those wildflowers too. When we went to Texas last year most of the cactus wasn't blooming just yet- their blooms are very vibrant!! Great video guys!! 👍👍
