We always enjoy watching your uploads and are very grateful for all the good advice. However as a new preppers we are advised to prepare for power outages. In that scenario having no electricity would mean that we would be reliant upon our one ring butane camping stove. For us that would probably rule out cooking things like dried beans and pasta as it would use up a lot of gas. We look to buying prepared food that only requires heating and of course boiling the kettle. Great upload, many thanks

I prefer the coffee creamer as I can pre mix the coffee and creamer in the mug the night before, then just add the water in the morning and it doesn't curdle like the milk powder, I also use it in my bread making. It has a higher calorie content than powdered milk, which in a SHTF situation might be a good thing but don't tell my doctor 🙂 Good video Ana, many prep channels forget that we were all new to this at one point

Hello Ana. Have you given any thought to meal replacement powders ( Not protein powder ) We used to use these whilst on duty as an emergency response team, as you never got a moments rest to stop and have any food during the shift, we researched it and came up with a favourite for taste, nutrition and ease of use. We used a product called " Huel " that was a great meal replacement during the shift, simply added to water in a shaker and you had a tasty, filling meal to keep you going. I would suggest that they would make an incredibly useful supplement for a stockpile larder, I think a bag of the stuff makes about 20 odd meals and contains all your essential greens/nutrient's and stuff.

Such a good idea to revisit the basics every once in a while as you are continually getting new viewers, some of whom will be new to prepping. Hi, yes you can plant it in the ground , I have 2 growing just recently. Firstly just put it in a bag, it will start sweating a bit abd as soon you see a green part of lump coming up, pot it up and keep moist. When established it can’t tolerate too much water ( I killed mine last year as forgot to put it in greenhouse ) and it is as simple as that 🥰

Just catching up. I live in Wales too, and our veg have been awful, even under cover! I have three polytunnels, and the only thing that has done ok are cucunbers in a very small hot tunnel. In my large tunnel i normally get peas and beans a month ahead of the garden. All have failed. The normally prolific french beans are struggling even under cover. I havent had any tomatoes at all, the plants are stunted. And so on. I am planting now for over winter and spring next year. On a plus point we have hedgehogs in the garden,quite a lot of insects, lizards and birds.

It's really good to see how well most things have turned out and how to keep a continual harvesting. I grow nasturtiums because I like the flowers but this year they haven't flowered but they've got huge leaves on so I might give the pepper substitute a go or just use them fresh in salads. I haven't got my potatoes up yet but I'll do that tomorrow then in with the next lot! I was thinking today about storing apples for the winter. My dad owned an orchard and we had stored apples all through the winter for snacking as well as making pies, etc. This was before they were available to buy all year round, but getting local ones would be better instead. Thanks, Ana. :)

I like watching your discussions as I know the agenda they are pushing.. and I have prepped for several years as I know what's coming as I am awake to it.. including growing my own food for the last few decades.. and foraging..but sadly today you have shown how ill informed you are on veganism.. I am an animal rights vegan of 36 years.. not because the elites are using it as part of their control of people under the false flag of climate change 🙄 ..they dont care about animal rights... I do it because I don't wish to enslave any animal for my own needs and I don't need too.. I have brought up 3 healthy, happy, bright non vax vegan children 14, 18, and 25) who have never needed to go to a doctor or had a filling... I would never touch any fake meat produced by Billy or from a lab... and tofu is soya, and soya is in a lot of food like biscuits, cakes, bread, meat products to pack them out ..not just vegan food.. most decent vegan companies ethically source soya anyway.. Soyas in the USA is a cash crop to put in many different foods. Meat products included ..if you going to comment on these things, then make sure you are fully informed!!
@AnasFoodLifestyle
@AnasFoodLifestyle 5 күн бұрын
Oh we are fully informed, don’t you worry. Yes soy is aded to other non vegan food but a Huge proportion is in Vegan food and as you know there are loads of other unethical ingredients in vegan food. But as your main point was soy here we are ; 1. Deforestation: Large-scale soy farming is a major driver of deforestation, particularly in the Amazon rainforest and other vital ecosystems. This deforestation leads to loss of biodiversity, destruction of habitats, and contributes significantly to climate change due to the release of stored carbon. 2. Displacement of Indigenous Communities: The expansion of soy plantations often leads to the displacement of indigenous peoples and local communities. These groups may lose their land, livelihoods, and access to traditional resources, resulting in social and economic disruption. 3. Pesticide Use: Soy farming frequently relies on heavy use of pesticides and herbicides, which can have harmful effects on the environment and human health. These chemicals can contaminate soil, water sources, and non-target species, including beneficial insects and wildlife. 4. Monoculture Practices: Soy is often grown in large monocultures, which deplete soil nutrients, reduce biodiversity, and increase vulnerability to pests and diseases. This practice can lead to a greater need for chemical inputs and result in long-term soil degradation. 5. Corporate Control and Economic Impact: The global soy market is dominated by a few large agribusiness corporations, which can lead to exploitative practices and limit the economic benefits for small-scale farmers. This concentration of control can also result in unfair trade practices and undermine local food sovereignty. 6. Carbon Footprint: The transportation and processing of soy, particularly for international markets, contribute to a significant carbon footprint. This adds to the overall environmental impact of soy production. So if you choose to save the animals but do the above then it’s a personal choice same way it’s a personal choice for us to eat meat🤷‍♀️ And I’ll be hard pushed to believe that there are “ ethical companies “
@TheVeganicGardener
@TheVeganicGardener 5 күн бұрын
@AnasFoodLifestyle what you think I dont know hahaha ..there's still more soya in non vegan products as its mainstresm.. and they do the same for farming meat and growing grain to feed the livestock in these countries for places like McDonald's etc ... vegan companies like plamil have ethical sourced their product's... plus I am so surprised you pushing the carbon footprint rubbish as this is the cause of all of these proposed food shortages.. agende 3 0 and 5 0 and the W E F...so you are not as awake as I thought you were sadly!!
@TheVeganicGardener
@TheVeganicGardener 5 күн бұрын
@AnasFoodLifestyle what you think I dont know hahaha but as the products that are full of soya and not vegan, are more mainstream you are wrong.. anyway vegans dont just eat soya.. .. plus vegan companies like plamil ethically source their products... almost 80% of the world's soybean crop is fed to livestock, especially for beef, chicken, egg and dairy production (milk, cheeses, butter, yogurt, etc). Soya oil is used for cooking and can also be found in margarine, chocolate, ice cream or baked goods, as well as in cosmetics or soaps... so rearing livestock is also doing all the things you have listed.. as well as growing the grain to feed the livestock in most countries ..and you using carbon footprint information is laughable when it's that false flag creating these issues pushed by the W E F elites!!
