If the gov tells you to have "ready to eat food and water for 3 days" for a " bug in" situation as they HAVE done, rest assured you will need it and more.... They warn public last, not first. Bug in can mean local unrest, pandemic, power outages definitely due to "ready to eat" statement. So cyber attack on grid quite possible. I would, get prepared for longer than 3 days, supermarkets should also take heed.

You can not prep' for every eventually. Least of all a nuclear war that the UK can not survive. Especially in the UK. So don't worry about that. Economic collapse is the most likely and the one you can do something about.

I don't think the possibility of civil unrest should be under estimated either . And though i would like to say economical collapse is unlikely , i'm afraid i can only find myself in agreement that it is the most likely scenario . This country is in a big mess , and it don't look like it will be sorted any time soon .

@@markcarpenter5368if a complete nuclear war happens the entire world will go down and majority of humans will die due to nuclear winter etc. UK is small, most of us will die if multiple bombs drop on our land.

Depends personally. ALMOST NO TIME if we are concerned about rising prices, lowered living standards and weather problems; next to no time for many shortages, or conflict, some time before solar problems, a little more before a pole shift...

In the USA, Brockton, Massachusetts to be exact there is a planned power outage to repair damage done to their grid by an independent contractor who damaged it while working to fix it. Accidents happen and you might need a black out bag or a plan. This one was planned so repairs could be done and the city knew about it. Still, no one else knew about it until 11:00 am the day of. Restaurants and places of business hadn't planned to have a generator or to order less food so it wouldn't spoil. Some of them got generators from the city. General population, however, didn't have a backup plan including an elderly apartment complex with many residents on appliances for their health needs or using the elevator. The outage was scheduled for overnight to reduce impact. If you didn't know about it and didn't have a plan, finding out the day of leaves little time to hunt for backup if it's even available. No need for war or anything else to break out to start preparing. Just start and you will be better equipped to manage what things do happen and the stress that goes along with it. The sooner you move in the direction of having a plan and practicing it the better off you will be whether an "event" happens now or in the future doesn't matter. The mental preparation is there when you prepare.

Aside from the conspiracy theory stuff, back in the real world 🙂. Several London hospitals have been hit by a cyber attack forcing them to cancel operations and move patients to other hospitals, this is leading to those other hospitals having to postpone operations and in turn move them to other hospitals, this will have a big impact on the already strained NHS. They are saying that this is going to take a while to sort out and get it back to normal. So where will the ambulance's end up having to take patients ? Maybe having to travel further and therefore extending travel time, putting them out of action for a local 999 call. So beef up that medical kit, get a first aid book and if possible sign up for a first aid course so that you can look after your family. Get some books on herbal and hedgerow plants that could replace medicine or at least ease the condition

I don't just watch KZfaq vids and I don't buy into fear mongers bs.. but I can tell you that every major country in the world has shifted from a peacetime economy to a war time economy in the last 12 months.. we have big booms being threatened while being moved into position and that has NEVER happened in your lifetime.. so my question is this.. What harm does it do to have a few extra things packed away for emergency.. the last global conflict was only 80 years ago and I bet your grandparents wish they had more stacked.. and I bet your parents even remember the after effects. I have seen no fear mongering yet on this channel and until I do I will give her a chance..

I think inflation is only going to get worse and worse and could lead to civil unrest. Some families are "on the edge" now. I also think the current levels of immigration are unsustainable and will lead to riots. It was nice to see the peaceful march in London over the weekend, but something tells me it won't last.

@@Lee_Proffit There are probably first aid courses on KZfaq you can watch. When I took my course from the American Red Cross for certification in college everything was in person. We practiced what was in the handbook on our fellow students (not CPR, that was on a dummy) and took the tests. As for the CPR, we did that by hand, not with a machine as they didn't exist everywhere back then. The upside of that is if there is an EMP which knocks out all electrics, I can still give CPR without the machine. I watched a video on KZfaq about applying an Israeli bandage. I didn't learn that in my first aid training in college. Just start learning and you will know more than you did before. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/leB6hLiGz5izn2w.html CPR American Red Cross and British Red Cross for heavy bleeding kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eLeCpLipp5vUnmQ.html That should be a good start.

Good video, for a subject that is so hard to put definite answers to. None of us have access to all the facts on any of the potential risks, we're just trying to G2 a situation with S2 information (ie we're trying to manage a division or corps level asset with only battalion or brigade levels of informatiom). It's hard to predict what the next few months or years will bring, but we're all tuning in to videos like this because we feel 'something' is possible, or even probable, and sooner rather than later. Mother Nature can bite us in the ass, whether solar flare, super volcano or just a really crazy weather event. As for whether a volcano errupts close or not, Mount Tambor in Indonesia caused the "year without a summer" in Europe in 1816, so the effect can reach a long way. More likely it will be a human factor though. A world war? Possible, and we've not been so close to it for a very long time. We are at a see-saw moment and 1 wrong move could cause things to really kick off. Economic collapse? We're teetering on the edge of that already, and with the way countries are so interdependent on each other that could be far worse than the Great Depression was. All we can do is our best to be as ready as we can.

I would say small things like food shortages (farmer protest tell the entire story and change in temperature), power outages (happened multiple times in my area this year, although they were recovered within a day), contaminated drinking water (multiple areas affected in past few weeks) and flooding.

OR end of the year with the new WHO treaty signed off, trying again for a new "jibby jab" mandate - tied in with the old Bird cough cough ... What a time to be alive eh?
