When changing fish to new tank, we should take care of few things. 1) the new tank should be cycled with beneficial bacteria so good to transfer fish only after 2-3 weeks of setting up a planted tank. (or use beneficial bacteria powder to cycle the tank faster). 2) when you transfer, acclimate the fish by adding little bit of the new tank water slowly to the existing water by drip method for an hour, to sync it. then you can transfer the fish.
