I have the same tent . At the front where you have the loop over the pole , if you pull that forward there is a little sleeve which the pole should sit in ( diagonal piece of tent material on it ) It gives you a taut fly sheet , apologies if you already knew this .

You're welcome and thank you for taking the time to watch it. We should have done it over more days and had a break halfway. Still, it taught us a lesson. Our next LDP in July is planned better
@Buszkraftowski20 күн бұрын
@@Over_the_Hill Yeah, I can recommend to walk such long distances in shorter sections for more days. I walked the WHW in 10 days. I took my time, also with a detour to an Island on Loch Lomond. And to have time for one day berak (if needed) is always a good idea. I think it is not good be on a hurry while hiking.
@Over_the_Hill20 күн бұрын
@Buszkraftowski very very true, which was my plan exactly, however my friend's free time did not allow this and he's not a fan of camping. Still, we learned our lesson and Northumberland coast path will be done in 12 miles max a day

@Over_the_HillАй бұрын
I've not had chance to try it in really warm environment yet as I bought them in winter here, but I am planning to wear them in July on our 120km walk along Northumberland coast. Not as hot as Tenerife obviously but they're goretx lined and I've found them to effectively regulate foot temperature: when it has been warm here my feet haven't been soaked in sweat. Short answer, I'd expect them to, as they're quality and very comfortable, best I can summarise I'm afraid.

Glorious views and Mellbreak will be one of the first I do this season, as soon as I get the weather you guys got. Everyone seems to park at Loweswater and do a loop but I do not fancy that descent, so I hope to park at Buttermere and do an out and back, as it looks a more civilised way to the proper Wainwright summit and with all the bog, I am not bothered about the second summit. Great views on this one, cheers Alan

@@Over_the_Hill , I brought a size 12 only because my feet are a bit wide. I can get in a size 11 if there designed for a duck ! But they are tight on the foot depth. These days the shoes are all coming up small , or my feet are getting bigger !

I'm wearing 10s more than my usual 9s recently, I'd recommend a shoe shop that does the specialist measuring service, I went to Ellis Brigham who did an ultra sound stand on pad thing & was then able to chose.
