The beating heart of the Cumbrian Fells? Great Gable

It's easy to point to Scafell Pike as the highest fell in Cumbria being the most iconic, but is it?
At the heart of the entire Lake District, stands Great Gable, with steep, dangerous cliffs on all sides, leaning on no other fells. While most folks are drawn to Scafell as the biggest fell for a day out, we wondered if size isn't really everything & maybe stature & presence have a bearing!
With 360 degree views into just about every nearby valley, is Great Gable the actual beating heart of this amazing place?
We went to find out!
A long but rewarding day on the fells with epic views!
Wandering up from Borrowdale via Seathwaite, skirting Base Brown before lunch on Green Gable, then jaw dropping views from empty summit of Great Gable.

Good evening gents, I do love great Gable the views from there are just stunning. You did well getting it all to yourselves as it’s one of the more popular hills. A brilliant route that. I came at it from the Kirk Fell side when I did it last. All the best guys, Dave ⛰🥾😀

Amazing nice sound. I recommend you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place. Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m height۔ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower
