worst hotend i ever used, the thermistor placement is so bad, it makes temps innacurate, also it breaks super easily

very frustrating but typical chinese. they have four similar products on there website but fail to explain the differnce or features of each. how are they still this bad at selling stuff. is it a disease? they have the rapido 2 in HF and UHF and then they have the rapido Plus 2 in HF and UHF. only difference i can tell is they have different thermistors. THEY WHY NOT JUST SAY THAT!! WHAY DO YOU NEED TO WRITE PLUS IN THE NAME?? WHY NOT MENTION ITS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MODELS?? HOW ARE YOU THIS BAD AT SIMPLE STUFF?? why would i trust you to make a complex item if you cant simply inform the public of the features of the thing you are trying to sell them??

Looks great and seems like a simple upgrade going from the original design. Is it only rated to 280C? Been eyeing the Goliath lately.
@leeroyjenkins7915
@leeroyjenkins7915 Жыл бұрын
@@mciarlillo1309 The standard config is rated only for 280°C because the standard version does use a 100k thermistor. This thermistor type temperature readout slowly becomes unreliable above 280°C. If you plug in a PT1000 or PT100, then you can reliable readout till 350°C. This hotend is not physically limited to 280°C, but cheap thermistors are.

Too bad its not a mixer. This will need retracts on color/material change and cannot do gradients, and will suffer from jams more frequently because of the retraction distance needed. Printing certain high temp materials, this may also cause the ptfe tube to offgass or deteriorate quickly. In other words, why isnt this a mixer?

My question is.. how long does it take for the color change to happen? How detailed can we get with the two filaments?
@Phaetus3D
@Phaetus3D 2 жыл бұрын
Depending on the speed of the slicing, it could take 1-3 seconds or so. You can get details by searching some reviewing videos of the TaiChi hotend out there, they can show you so many details!

Did not expect my questions to become an FAQ on your twitter but nicely done, thanks for answering! :D Also really great of you to upload the step files prior to the availability! This ensures available mounting and cooling Mods. Too many other companies are too stubborn to realize how important that is! I will probably make an cooling Duct for myself. On a designing standpoint I already love the fact, that the Heatsink is symmetrical (front and back) and that the Nozzle is completely in the middle of the Heater block - that was super annoying on Volcanos and designing Fan-ducts / Partcoolers for them! Sadly it seems like I have to wait a lot of weeks to buy an TaiChi...
@TomTheWise_

@@Phaetus3D Hey, I spend the last few afternoons and evenings to design an highly integrated Mount and FanDuct. If you want to check it out, It is uploaded on Thingiverse ( thing:5273756 ) I would love to hear feedback! I think it is as good as I can make it with only using the .step files as basis to work around and not having an actual TaiChi Hotend yet. You know... You could provide me with an TaiChi if you want, so I could finish it. ;D
@TomTheWise_
@TomTheWise_ 2 жыл бұрын
A few questions: - When will it finally be available? - Does it use Standard V6 Nozzles? - Is the heater-block plated Copper or Aluminium? - Will you guys make an Volcano style heater-block option? - How is flow compared to V6 and Volcano? - How well does it perform when using just single material/color? Is it a trade off compared to your other single filament hotends? Because the one-hand-nozzle-change ability by itself is already convincing. Of course I would try dual Filament Prints some time too. :D I can't wait to install one!
