Two things which will make these things run forever: Let em warm up to temperature and most important is do super early oil changes. Cut the recommended factory oil change in at least half and you'll have this baby running forever.

The metal in the spider hose most likely came from the crank breather you may have spun a rod. These motors are every where in the junk yard. I would tare it down and do rods and get some 2.8 head and you will be able to boost your power up.

vr6 single turbo swap would be sick do a 12v or a 3.2 and it would be 10x more reliable the 2.7 is sweet don’t get me wrong but vr6 swap isn’t bad at all and you can still use the 01E and you can use the stock ecu if you get it completely retuned or can run a simple plug and play standalone

@@49Motors do some research on the vrt b5 swaps you will probably fall in love haha especially with how much more reliable and how much easier it is to maintain and just the sounds they make when they are turbo’d and honestly you can make a reliable 600hp with just a complete refresh and rods. also if you look on marketplace or know anyone who has a vr6 you can get them for pretty cheap!

There is a couple big 60/50 amp fuses hidden way back on the fire wall by the steering column. My aux fan had similar issues. Bench test the aux fan. Worst comes to worst I have another one. Hope ya figure it out.
@49MotorsАй бұрын
Both fans are brand spanking new. I'll look for those fuses when I pull my motor out here soon. Thanks for the input!
@elev8j1028 күн бұрын
@49Motors those fuses are in the interior firewall. They are way up in there. Remove the kick panel. Think they were above the pedals. I replaced the fan control module as well with no luck back then. My car was an auto then (01e conversion) but think the fuse layout is the same.
@49Motors28 күн бұрын
Ahh I was hoping you were talking about some fuses I didn't know about. I already checked the fuses and relays above the kick panel 😏
@elev8j1028 күн бұрын
@49Motors oh gotchya. I just remember those big ones being hidden outside the normal fuse panel that's in there. The one that fixed the issue was a 50 or 60 amp fuse. Keep putting out that b5 content tho. Don't see a lot especially here in Colorado.
