Wasn't Charles Bronson a ball turret gunner in a B-17? He was hit multiple times but refused to leave his post so he could keep firing on the enemy planes. Not a seat I would want to sit in!

So we had medieval weapons and armor in ww1, muskets in ww2 and now ww2 weapons in the Ukraine war. What's next? Vietnam war weapons in ww3?

My Grandfather flew 52 missions over Germany as a ball turret gunner. He and 1 of the pilots are the only two survivors of the war from his platoon.

Back in the day where Boeing cared for passengers... nowadays it would probably be worded slightly differently; You know we are about to land without our landing gear? Yes, I guess you will be pulling me up? Nope.. You are now our landing gear

In my opinion, it is more like the french's army was weak rather than coward. They were one of the strongest nations at the time, and Germany pushed them back almost all the time, even after losing a war that was supposed to end all wars, Germany took their capital in weeks 😅. What were they doing after the revolution? After blood was shed, and chivalry was killed the only thing left on that flag was a shade of white

One of the former presidents of Finland fought in detachement Törni. After when asked about it the president said that he mainly aimed over the enemies even when he had a weapon with the most of the firepower. Thats why i little doudbt the criteria for strict marksmanship, since people them self said they did not try to hit.

this is so funny American prisoners of war were treated better than almost any Vietnamese at that time Their meals all contain butter, milk, and bread imported from the Soviet Union, and they even have turkey on Christmas. Even North Vietnamese high command officers did not have that, including civilians Just ask John McCain Does he have any scars from physical torture?

Had a family friend who passed a few years ago that escaped a POW camp in Vietnam. My mom told me stories of how the war affected him until he died. The two biggest examples I can remember was her telling me that she witnessed him speaking fluent Vietnamese in his sleep, likely memories of what his captors were saying because he didn't actually know the language himself, and the second instance on a brighter note was the time my mom made some kind of Indian dish upon inviting him over for dinner one time and it was his first time eating rice since the war and kind of broke him of that trauma so to speak. Miss you Rick
