Add flour to salt water first then add the yeast to the mixture. You do not add yeast to water first
@ryanmichaelcarter5 күн бұрын
It’s best practice to hydrate yeast in pure water before adding salt. Then mix a little flour in the water/yeast.. then add the remaining salt to the flour before mixing. Full recipe in video description

Love this system and great setup. Question I have is how are you heating the HLT for your sparge? Is the RIMS powerful enough to heat the sparge water to 170 in one pass or do you have another element in the HLT?
@ryanmichaelcarter7 күн бұрын
Thanks! There is a separate heating element in the HLT

@@ryanmichaelcarterat about the stage where all the ingredients are mixed together and a bit after starting to knead it. Can't seem to get that smooth finish.
@ryanmichaelcarter9 күн бұрын
@@SolofChaos thats completely normal! It’ll be messy for a bit during kneading. Kneading takes about 15 minutes before that gluten holds everything together

@ryanmichaelcarter11 күн бұрын
@@danielle1457 so happy you liked it 🙌 before adding the pasta, one quick way to thicken it is adding more parm. The sauce should be a little thicker than desired before adding the pasta. Once the pasta is added, you can add pasta water as needed to get the right consistency
