This is fascinating. Roger was in Quatermass 2 in 1955 and when you think about it, that Program & films became the TEMPLATE for DR. WHO stories over 10 years later in the late Troughton & early Pertwee eras....& then Roger entered as The MASTER in Jon Pertwee's second season in 1971 .......One can see some symmetry in all this. No wonder Barry Letts with his knowledge working with past actors knew that Roger would be PERFECT as the MASTER.........& he WAS.

I always wondered what it was that was meant to be so horrible when they looked over the desk and saw what was down there! I mean obviously it was Doctor Pertwee, after Oddbod Junior was meant to have killed him, but I always wonder how Pertwee was meant to have looked when the Sergeant and Slowbottom noticed him dead.

He wasn't just in those things.
@Djarra4 жыл бұрын
@@jeffstone2136 He had a long career, although later on he didn't seem to have much luck. He was in a lot of unsuccessful programs, a lot of his best performances are in B&W so don't get remembered. He's also not always easy to recognise being able to vanish into the character, more so in drama, and you don't really register it's him. A good case in point is 'The Moles' from 'Tails of the Unexpected'
