I’ve watched a fair few of these tactical breakdowns now and it really does seem to me that a majority of managers pretty much coach their teams to play the same way, just minor tweaks and variations based on personnel along the way.

Improvement isn't a linear track. particular if some of their players end up being sought after. people were expecting Brighton to maybe even make a play at the CL spots this season. instead they're guaranteed to finish at least 6 points worse off than last season, even if they win all their remaining games, which are Newcastle, Villa, Man Utd and Chelsea.... so a more likely potential scenario is finishing 18 points worse off.

They’re right to question it. You can’t just attack teams every week without the best squad in the league. Spurs will never have the best squad. He needs a plan B, or at least try to have a better defensive plan for games against sides of similar or higher quality or the end result will still be 5/6th every year.
