You mentioned how the knowledge of a language affects the way you think, so here’s a fun fact: most of the human emotions are developed culturally, and there’s a Psychological theory that says that some emotions are only felt in some places, whilst not in others, since in those places/cultures the people developed names for those emotions, like the Brazilian emotion “saudade” or the danish (I think) “Hygge”, or the American/English “Flabbergasted”, and I just think that’s awesome

this video made me cry. i’ve gone through and am going through the same thing. i’ve been bullied in school. every friendship i made ended somehow - my first best friend had to go out of town ans we lost contact, my second best friend turned out to be a two-faced manipulator who spread rumours about me and turned all of my classmates against me, causing them to exclude me for years and thus becoming the reason for my trauma; and, my third best friend and i mutually decided we were better as just friends because of a misunderstanding as a result of a communication gap...she’s still a good friend of mine. but often i think that she is not. I fear that this one and only friendship that I have will come to an end like all the other friendships I've had soon. at one point, i also convinced myself that my own company was the most enjoyable and i don't need any friends. But then I realised the void of lonliness that is growing inside me. Now i remind myself that hope is never lost; and that, perhaps, thie friendship that I have won't end, and that if it does, I'll make friends in the future...

One of my habits for 2024 is to spend at least 10 minutes every day on writing projects. I don't do it every single day, so it's more of an invitation, but the times I do it are enough to kind of keep me in the loop, in the writing mindset and in touch with my writing projects. As a result I find that even when occupied with other things I get ideas for my projects, or find myself writing micro-poems or dialogues that I might integrate to a project later. I think daily or close-to-daily contact with writing can be so beneficial, even if it's just a little amount of time or work or energy, just to be in touch with the writer in us, to not let them be forgotten.

Aww Ruby im just watching this thinking about how I used to watch you almost religiously when I was preparing to go into year 10 and telling my parents that I was going to be like you. Also, as it was not noted ... some people choose not to have friends or aqaintences in their lives purely out of choice . People are unreliable, sef obsessed, and some are self opionated. Etc, etc, the list is endless. However, everyone has a right to friendship,even relationships but only if its what they want as individuals. For me, I get enjoyment out of my work as a marine and landbased archaeologist, and my photography and videographer work. All three can be wonderfully peaceful, and the solitude that you can experience is ...... well, good. Not once have i been rejected or talked about or had the fun made of me.... People friends ....no thanks, I'll pass .. they may be for you but not for me..
