I'm working on a project and I already bought the tft featured at 5:46. The issue he is having in the video appears to be the same issue I'm having, should I cut my losses and switch to a different display or does anyone know of a solution to that problem?

I guess there is a reason why he didn't show how the regulated current then looks on the oscilloscope. Unless extremely lucky, the current would fluctuate around the set value by several 100mA.

I used some components like the GDT to protect a lora antenna coax from high transient voltages, probably will not know if it really works until it doesn't. I think it was suggested to replace them occasionally as repeated spikes can make them fail. I imagine that a passing thunderstorm could induce significant spikes even without a lightning strike. I really appreciate the information you provide, Thank you.

Bro what about ATtiny? Isn't it cheap by itself without a dev board? And also if the whole point is dimming the led then why not just some transistor, why PWM is needed?

A lot of fake modules out there now. They don't get more than 80% efficiency. The PS pin does nothing. The chip has signature signs of being sanded off. Grainy surface of the chip. Marking wiped off the chip easily.

That so called directional antenna is completely inefficient and actually rubbish. Properly constructed 5GHz antennas are available on the internet both in omni directional and directional (beam) types. A Properly constructed gain vertical antenna for both frequencies will outperform the types you have experimented with.

Sometimes stupidly patriotic American here. The only convincing argument I've heard against Wagos is that they build up a higher resistance and can get warm. It made sense to me that this might be a uniquely American problem (and maybe Japanese) since we use higher current lower voltage wiring. However, this is still a very small amount of additional resistance across the Wagos. Resistance is a function of cross sectional area AND length of conductor. The length of the conductor is the distance the electricity travels, so wires should be connected right next to each other. The overall length of the metal strip in the Wago isn't necessarily the length of conduction. I think if properly installed by an electrician, wire nuts probably make the most sense. Contractors should save money if they can and they are stronger and more resistant to heat, especially when connecting more than two wires. For DIYers, the WAGO is probably best because they are easier to install properly.

I did this for a collage project. Instead of figuring out when to turn it off, I just connected it to a huge capacitor and it worked fine. Just that it would take some time to charge.
