Hi Yash, I would advise you to check MIM courses in UK/France/Ireland/Germany. The studies in Germany are cheap, however you are required to learn German. Also you would need a budget of 20-25 lakhs i believe. However i would advise you to look at an education loan and go a part time job in and around the college campus, that would help you with your expenses. Hope I was able to help you out. Hi, Only the Exam format has changed not the concepts and difficulty of questions in the exam. Hence even if the books are old or don't mention Focus Exam, they will still help with concepts. I am not sure how will you be buying classes. I would suggest attending videos of Wizako, they are really good at explaining concepts. Also Magoosh prep is also cheap and effective. You also have options from Udemy. Do your research well as each persons approach to studies is different and each person prepares differently. Hope I was able to answer your exam. Hi Sagar, Thanks for your kind words. To answer your question. Always buy the latest GMAT if you DO NOT own an OG book. However, if you already have an OG, kindly note every year the questions change by a bit. With the Focus edition change coming in, Only the flow of the exam has changed not the questions and their difficult level. I have not gone through the new OG books personally, but the one I owned truly helped me out. Hi Aastha, Answering your questions here: 1) Currently there is a growing awarness about GMAT in India. The ratio of schools accepting CAT to GMAT is 10:4. So clearly CAT is widely accepted while GMAT is accepted by very few colleges as of now. Watch this video for more: kzfaq.info_UL5AsLM8eg 2) CAT has tough Maths while GMAT has tough english. You need to play to your strengths here. Study for both will help you overall. But ask yourself which is your strong point for exams. You want to get admitted where? A lot people suggested I should give both... But I think I should focus only one exam adnd thoroughly prepare for it. Knowing myself and the years I have dreaded maths... I really don't think that cat is a good option for me... But a lot of people suggestes to give just for a backup... Or for you safety reasons... So now I don't know.. And I'm kinda stuck.

Secondly, It's not only your graduation score but your overall profile as a person that counts. Here are some pointers that always help: 1) Strong School and college marks and percentages 2) Interesting Co-curricular activities that are out of the box 3) Confident and Strong Personality and views in essays and profile 4) Good GMAT Score 5) Accomplishments and how you rate Success Not sure what out of this you can do in a year. i would advice you to take the language tests first and then start with GMAT. classes for GMAT are expensive and the minimum fees for two month worth course is Rs.39000. so if there's a financial constraint, unfortunately you'll have to help yourself with the online material that's available. i would warm you beforehand that if you're not from a math academic background, it's for the best to seek foundation classes as quant can be difficult. best of luck with your prep!

Hi Deepti, I feel since this is your first video on GMAT, you are going through a lot of questions. It's totally natural and ok. Don't worry about it. Many people go through these questions. Answering all your questions one by one. 1)You mentioned that we have to send the scores within 48 hours, so do I do my other language courses before GMAT? - I am not sure how long are your language exam scores valid but the GMAT score is valid for 5 years. I would suggest, planning on your institutions first. Study for the GMAT and check your scores in the mock exams. Clear the GMAT exam. Apply to the colleges you want. Once you send the score to the college, it remains with them for 5 years. Apply whenever you want but ideally in the FIRST round of admissions, after clearing your language exams. 2) do you recommend I take KZfaq lessons for GMAT or proper coaching? -KZfaq is great for initial motivation, briefing, information and quick concepts, but a proper study plan using proper material is very important. Proper coaching is something you will have to take a call on, but I would suggest if you have good self-discipline and control, self-study is more than enough. If you need help in Quant basics I would suggest taking short courses to clear out your concepts and basics. Hope I was able to answer your questions. All the very best :)

Hi Ma'am, I would recommend after completing his engineering, your son should work in the field that he is graduating from. Once he has experience of 1 to 2 years, he will know whether he wants to do management or go into engineering specialisation. Based on that if he wants to do management let him continue working for more than 1 year and then answer CAT/GMAT based on where he wants to do his MBA in India or abroad respectively. Abroad mostly 5 years of work experience is required. In India, there is no requirement for work experience, but I always recommend it (at least 2 years). If he wants to do specialisation in Engineering, he will have to do an MS abroad or do a Masters in Engineering in India, where he will have to answer the GATE exam.
