I've never seen anyone caulk the panel to the rails and stiles.. It's supposed to float freely, the wood would expand and contract and you end up with cracked caulking 🤔
@igorverdes

Is that paint still holding on the caulk? Many painters debating to caulk or not to caulk floating panels?

Which size tip did you use for the gun? Did you thinned the paint?
@Eagles25
@Eagles25 6 ай бұрын
Probably a 1.4. tip. Never used emerald in a sprayer, but if it needs to be thinned. Thin it out 10%

Me arrepiento de no comprala en lugar de la 490 graco, por la facilidad de limpiar y poder usar la opción del galón para gabinetes ya la use y es super práctica para tip flpp con poca presión

It’s hard to understand why you don’t use an airless air assist sprayer. I used to use the sprayer you are using over 25 years ago.

I'm interested to see it in action with low pressure fine finish tip scenarios. I use a graco ultimate 600 plus with graco f.f. tips And have no need for an h.v.l.p. .dead technology
@Dissentasylum
@Dissentasylum 11 ай бұрын
A graco double orfice f.f. tip is intended for fine finish oil applications. I've used them for decades on exteriors. Once they blow out a little bit they will spray exterior acrylics at much lower pump pressures greatly reducing overspray and will out last a single orfice tip 10x.

Nice video's. Many painters fail to fully understand surface prep, product specs, application theory. Just going with loxon xp because its a masonary paint can be a fail if there is no moisture issue. You seal and prevent breathability of the brick or stone. This can lead to problems if the only reason to paint was an unsightly color. Pottasium silicate materials are far more appropriate and superior for color changes (romabio e.t.c.) when no moisture issues exist. If moisture issue are present, loxon xp is the answer and superior. Simply going with the industry standard approach (loxon xp) without weighing in the conditions and factors will set your customers up for a problem in the long run. Context.......

I’ve done a lot if painting, both home and automotive. And I was very impressed with your work process, tools, and results 👍🏼. That said, I’d rather HIIRE YOU GUYS to do my cabinets, than invest in the equipment, time, etc. doing it myself! 😄 (Wish you had a branch in So. CA!)

Ok I did my entire LARGE kitchen like this and I really hope that the finish can stand up to long term abuse. At least I have plenty of paint left over if I have small issues. But I don’t want to see paint scraping off with use around handles and edges.

Garbage ! Paint is crap and that gun is waaay to brutish for this work and especially the wasted time taping everything off . Old school handwork with a real self leveling paint can so the whole kitchen primer and topcoat in a couple of hours . Amateurs

I think if you paint a cabinet door that was previously just stained, you will see a gap. That’s just what I’ve learned here on KZfaq so take my word with a grain of salt.
