3400 Hrs - loved it somewhat - even with all its flaws ( as single player / ironman it would be nuts ) but they just killed it..

How do i get Access to the Beta in Xbox?

People need to understand that beta numbers are wayyy less than actual release numbers.

The problem is console players don’t go out looking for beta keys. I had about 15 people not even know the beta was going on and they all wanted to get into the game. The promotion for the beta was practically nonexistent on PS5. With Council if there is a beta, it usually just pops up in the store and you can download it and try the game. There’s no extra steps that’s how Council players like it.

I loved this game before it was neglected. I still log in for like 30-40 minutes a day (most days) to do some dailies, just in case a miracle happens and this game takes off again ... BUT ... I've already downloaded and installed 3 other games.

Please don't tell me New World is going tab targeting...

You basically just said…. “Take the numbers down so they can scam console players on their last cash grab”. Which is all console release is. AGS isn’t trying to revive the game on console. It’s one last cash grab before they abandon it. You of all people should know this and dam sure shouldn’t be encouraging AGS to “hide” anything

I don't think the playerbase should be an issue because I don't believe console players even really knew about the beta. I got my key literally on monday which only left me 2 days to test it out and the only reason I even knew about it was through word of mouth through the community on black desert console. I don't necessarily believe they are struggling to get players to get on it I just don't think they advertised it properly to get adequate numbers on the game for the beta. I do believe needing a key was a little silly considering new world has massive potential on the console market due to lack of good mmorpgs and with black deserts current decline on console, the playerbase is looking to jump ship to another mmo that will respect the players time investment. I personally enjoyed the beta and the opportunity to create a max character and experience the end game to see if its something I cared to work towards in the future on release. Everything for the most part felt pretty smooth and functional from what I played but take that with a grain of salt since I got in on the last 2 days of the closed beta. Overall I do believe they dropped the ball on advertising the beta and I did hear there was some sort of NDA on recording/streaming the game, I'm not sure if thats true but the beta did have a watermark on it and if that NDA was a fact that also hurt its advertisement since people like myself and others would have been happy to stream/record the game and give thoughts and opinions. Definitely a bag fumble on their end.

I mean 2k players at peak... it's already dead. Move to ESO or BDO the only mmorpgs still populated pretty good. Never thought I'd say that but there it is....

New (dead) World

Game won't get a single player on console. The beta is absolutely horrendous. On PS5 it runs at 720p and is so blurry and low res it's simply unplayable.

I hope this game dies that way I can be free from my chains

It’s crazy, half a year ago I made jokes about wow and I started it when I dropped new world around 2-3 months, logged in in that time 2 times just to refresh my buy and sell orders and now I just play wow for the first time and don’t really see me to come back to new world… really loved that game but I think that’s it for me

I agree. But for pve, crafting, solo or story gaming, this is a great time to be on. No bots, no fighting for resources, great and supportive players... there is a silver lining at least for a moment

I'm so pissed at this team. This could be THE mmorpg right now and instead they've just absolutely blown it in every conceivable way. AGS should sell the game to someone who is capable of fixing it. This team is not and never will be. I can't wait to see them destroy LotR.

I have been playing ESO. Been nice compared to what New World is now.

I still love this game, but haven't played in months because of everything they've done. I was loyal for years when all my other friends gave up on it early. But after all the recent debacle, it just feels pointless. I'm bleakly hopeful that things will change in the future, but... we shall see.

I think Romania will be better. Peoples actually play games there.

It almost feels like the people that still play New World have 0 social life and can't move on to other games/things. I've war with people that have lost friends, kids, partners, jobs & even a fucking house b/c they are addicted to a 2021 game with less players than a private server game (shits comical). It's okay to play other games & maybe try New World again during OCT..... the game either stays shit or gets better.

I am a pc player and have been playing the beta on Xbox. There are more differences than they have shown. It runs great on my series X and I can still use Keyboard and mouse lol. Yes I feel like I have been a beta tester on pc since launch but everything I have seen has been positive and is moving in the right direction. I can see why the current pc version has been in maintenance mode while they worked on this update.

Let's face it, this game is dead in the water. 2 things I see, toxic fan boys defending the dev no matter what they do, toxic players demanding free for all pvp all the time, without realising there isn't a big player base for that. MMO need playerssss not players.

They needed to make the beta open...not have to sign up on website to get keys. On top of that they need to reduce price because Throne and Liberty is going to release a month before and also f2p... They also would be wise to allow cross progression between PC and Console...if I can't play my character...I am not going to convince my console friends to buy.

Disappointed to say the least. New World was incredible for me at launch, the potential was phenomenal. It's actually impressive how massively Amazon fumbled the bag on this game.

Well. It was fun, those chest runs, and hours of chopping banana trees when the xp for furnishing was crazy HAHA. Grinding ridiculous mutated 3 for a golden horse I rode for 2 days haha.

On XBOX it was only available via the insider hub. No advertising showing it available.

The PvP is what kept me around for so long (2k+ hours) but with just OPR and arena in 2 years is a joke.
