Yea they lost me at 625, come to think of it, it was the vertical progression that made me leave, I absolutely detested grinding to 625. You grind your ass off forever to get max gear and good drops and nope you just gotta keep going, so the satisfaction of getting it is completely meaningless unless you're so frustrated and being out gunned in pvp. So yea screw vertical progression. Am now playing Guild Wars 1/2 despite very much preferring the New world action style combat

Can't fix how ass the combat feels to play and look at. It's one of the least satisfying combat systems I've ever played in a game. As I see it there's not much else worth doing in the game. I can play Runescape or Black Desert for life skilling, Guild Wars 2 or WoW for the theme park experience, FFXIV for great story. Nothing this game offers is unique or even polished. This devs barely seem to care about bare minimum feature parity with the MMOs they're trying to imitate, let alone making those features actually enjoyable, sensible, or free of microtransactions. My biggest complaint about this game is how I can't refund it due to Steam's time gated refund policy. The early game has the illusion of being decent. By the time you get 2-3 hours in, though, you realize it's not going to feel any better. Truly a pity just how apathetic I am towards this game.

@@r3load403 Oh my bad, you're right and my opinion is totally invalid as if I didn't play the game myself and come to my own conclusion like I just said. Good to know this game is kept alive by cope addicts who are so desperate for a modern MMO that they'd play a game that let you walk underwater for the first three years from a company that could buy the fucking moon. You can't buy talent or originality though, both of which AGS are sorely lacking. The fact Amazon even tried to make an MMO in the first place shows how little they knew about MMOs. I wouldn't trust any company to make an MMO these days unless the game is developed and published by the same company, AND the CEO of that company was a 20+ year industry veteran game developer who worked on the original titles that blew this genre up. If you haven't played old school MMOs as a lifetime hobby, you have no right making them and continuing to turn this genre into half baked garbage that appeals to the least common denominator. New World sucks.

@@robertwaremusic there's only 3 mmos that have/had good combat and it was bdo, lost ark, and new world. unfortunately 2 out of 3 of those are p2w grindfests (bdo/lost ark) and the other has a lack of content and new combat coding that ruined the one good thing it had (new world). new world had the most grounded and fun pvp i've played imo, especially 1 year after launch when they ironed out all the major animation bugs and inconsistencies. but i guess i'm pretty biased considering it was the mmo that turned my channel from 500 subs to 40k+

@@DeityVengy Perhaps I'll take another look, but my memory and the current state of reviews don't enthuse me. I tried the game for the first time within the last six months, so my opinions aren't for lack of recent play. I must say though, it's WAY easier to be hype about an MMO as a KZfaqr with endless friends to play with. Unfortunately my friends hate MMOs, so I really only have the quality of my solo playtime to judge by. That being said, I'd play fucking tic tac toe with friends if they asked me to cause everything is better with friends. You can't really use that as a means to prop up the game. If it's not engaging as a solo player, the fun part about playing with friends is exclusively the friends part of it.

I think at some point the 2k'ers need to realize that AGS has been trying to break up with you ever since the game launched. They made a clear stand against any sort of gameplay that even smells like hardcore or dedicated, and they're doing everything they can to distance themselves from what New World was to what it will be in the future. It's very deliberate and we're like a greasy nerd clinging on for any kind of attention we can get.

Since season we got tiny tiny micro content was done by a small team, while they were working on console and the leveling revamp and the (first time player experience) all this time. We got bread crumbs and funded the development for the console people who get a proper meal, it's kind of messed up they kept this from us. Not to mention not getting any content from October 2023 till October 2024 and squeezing as much money out of us as possible, it's truly fked from a moral standpoint. From basic colored dyes to paywalling the most basic mounts like White Horse (even having the premium pass Lion not being account wide), paid tmog, 30$ expansion with almost no content, season pass every 3 months, bundling Jadeite armor in a 70$ pack with clown Christmas outfits etc. Just analyzing history, they truly didn't give a fk about their PC player base and we were just cows to get milked for this console release.

4k hours player here 😂. i think this is just a sign that i should start focusing in real life

You tried the Winter Forge recently? pugs fail about 95% of the time to the point ppl don't even bother anymore, i rarely see ppl trying on Valhalla. And if they do, you see LF 1 more every 10 min because ppl leave after 3 wipes until they completely disband the raid lol.

They fucked up movement with their slayer script. Game feels like shit now, its shuttering and rubberbanding, movement feels laggy. Its not just u.

i think you completly miss the point, noone complains about the game not being good, there simply is no content and ppl like you that let AGS get away with giving us one 5man dungeon and one 10man trial over the span of an entire year is part of the problem. if you rly like the game you critisize and aknwoledge its flaws and not be blindsided to it

Also, you are correct that players need to criticize content so devs know how players feel, but you may have missed my point. I’m simply saying that it’s sad how ungrateful this new generation of players are when it comes to games having flaws. Look at RuneScape. That game is garbage and has a monthly membership fee but players think it’s great because at the time it came out it was all a large number of players had. But it’s ok to call that game good. New gamers have forgotten to enjoy the game for what it has and support it so it can get better all the while still giving devs feedback on what could be better.

No, without endgame its just cash grab and wasted potential. Console player will quit after 1 month and the influx of player will be little, probably 20-40k max. Then after like 6 months or 1 year they will finally shutdown this shitshow game.

Gl farming sets for all roles for all mutations. Its 20 sets for base weapons. 20 sets its 200 pieces of gear to farm. Unless u want to swap gems all the time.

@@aortenzio the base yes, but they revamped the story over the last year and a half, they finally made soul trials replayable, and added 10 man raids as well as a full zone of pvp only, and baseline remake of the weapon system. I'd say it's definitely a step in the right direction while focusing on bug fixing.
