Such a good and inspiring recovery story. I wrote down a lot of good things. Lot of similarities. The brain retraing was not enough for me needed to a lot of work with personality traits and mind body first. Whish I have known your channel and had you as a coach 2 years ago then my journey would have been shorter. Now almost there, maybe 90-95%.

Great video. Would love a video detailing the intracies of how u get back to eating foods again. How each of you both got back to being able to eat foods again. Each time I try and introduce a teeny tiny bit of something - reaction/symptoms. Histamine Intolerance ( plus yrs of Cfs fibro etc :( Down to 10 foods now. I have been meditating for years. Abt 3 months of daily somatic tracking. and brain re training stuff. Tried journalling last year.

I had long covid and post vaccine symptoms. After many tests including a whole body MRI Scan, tons of blood tests including autoinmune markers and even Spect scan for my brain nothing came up as a definite diagnostic other than anxiety. I was later diagnosed with POTS with the tilt TABLE, long covid, dysautonomia, Chronic Fatigue and have tried many medications, therapies and brain retraining programs, meditations (I went to a live meditation with Dr Joe dizpenza) sometimes with small improvements but after I begin excercise I go back to an unbalanced nervous system and my symptoms get worse... even when I use my brain for thinking I get headaches, sinus pain and smell disturbances and an unexplainable energy crash. It turns out last month I got a skin biopsy and I was diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy (not because of diabetes) could be autoimmune, metabolic or Idiopathic, this diagnostic can be an explanation of the dysautonomic symptoms but still the root cause is Idiopathic, activated by covid and maybe vaccines but a major part would be emotional issues hidden in my unconscious. Does this program also help with small fiber neuropathy ?

I think the one thing that you all miss and I say this because I know I’ll not the only one and I’ve watched almost every single video from different mind body teachers is that people have had prior injury that caused this. It is not all waking up one day and all of sudden we’re dismantled or CFS as slow build up. What is not understood here and never discussed is the possibility that injury did occur and the body either didn’t heal well or healed and learnt pain. I think this is the reason many have a hard time fully believing this because every video is the same onset. “I woke up one day with xyz. Not all of us experienced this. Also keep in mind subluxations do hurt and doctors don’t even write those on reports and radiologists ignore it, So I guess maybe it would be helpful if there were some testimonies to different onsets and not just the processes of symptoms. Does the body really heal these issues and after it develops to TMS? Does inflammatory responses, pulling in the body, aching etc can that be that the NS clamps the muscles and pulls the spine out so it is TMS ? There’s a lot missing here of clarity.

Ive been following this work for quite awhile now. Although no one has yet discussed post injury years later as to what happened to me I have managed to stop the burning in my body with it. However that was replaced with what I can only describe as severe muscle spasms and tension from my head to my toe so bad it feels like my own body will suffocate me along with severe anxiety and exactly what you described as my brain feels like aching and pressure and I have a hard time being upright too long because I get symptomatic. So my question is since TMS is always described as pain are chronic muscle spasms too ? Also why is it that everyone doing this work gets debilitating anxiety while they go through it ?

Great conversation. TY. Many people it seems are doing several programmes b4 they get well. V expensive. I struggle with the 'do what you love' thing and then respond well to the symptoms, SO hard to do esp when been sick for over 20 years. I do 5 mins of gardening and have pain for weeks. :( So hard and discouraging esp when i just want to get outside and go ride a bike or kayak. Sometimes u just gotta start with being able to take care of yourself and do basic things around the house or drive yourself to the shop and get your own food.

I have been working through mind-body TMS work for couple months now. What I find a block in this work is ‘doing things of joy and play and if symptoms arise, ensure safety using tools etc’. However, I have symptoms 24/7 - a constant head pressure / tightness and a fatigue level that interferes with my vision, which I understand is the all day ‘background fatigue’ that Charlotte refers to. Did Charlotte go back to joy/ play and doing things with these types of symptoms? I find this really hard

@michellemoore9030 I get it! We want to be genuine with where we're at, while also reaching for peace and ease the best we can. It's not always easy and sometimes joy is out of reach. Charlotte started doing simple things she enjoyed, or at least that took her mind off the symptoms, first. That's what I did too. Sometimes I could only walk a little ways, listen to Eckhart Tolle, read poetry, do a somatic meditation or do gentle yoga. Find whatever gives you a little relief. I have pots from long covid that is almost all gone. It’s very scary watching your heart go so fast plus all the other symptoms that come with it for me it’s insane dizziness and lightheadedness. I had all the heart tests done and found I have a great heart. Once I had that, whenever my heart would start to race I would tell myself “my heart is going fast I’m feeling all these things but I am safe.” It’s way easier said than done. It’s taken a lot of time but instead omg my heart going to 160 when standing it’s now 120 which is major improvement. It gets better every day as I continue to tell myself I am safe. And I don’t believe it all the time. Sometimes I’ll say instead “I’m feeling all this right now but it’s temporary this will not be my life forever.”

I developed pots after covid a few years ago. The more you focus on your heart rate the more it will stay elevated, now that you know you’re heart is healthy just look at it as a way of your body protecting you and a distraction from strong emotions, it’s a false alarm. It’s not dangerous! Most importantly I made the mistake of staying in bed for so long bc I feared it, keep moving/exercising gently, and doing things you love that regulate your nervous system for example meditation or walking out in nature. Good luck :)

This story is very similar to mine. I was a very active automotive Restyler working for several new and used car dealers as well as installing reflective graphics for Columbia County Georgia Sheriff Dept. Suddenly in 2016 while jogging one evening, severe pelvic pain hit me and soon totally disabled me. I was forced to close down my business and soon became bedridden. I visited over 15 doctors in Augusta but they had no answers. Someone suggested that I view a KZfaq video by Howard Stern about Sarno. I bought his book and I knew that this was what was going on. I ended up on Social Security Disability. I’m still disabled as of 2024 but I’m now enrolled in Rebecca’s course. It’s been 8 years but I now have hope that one day I will recover.

The everyday background fatigue is a little more challenging to navigate, questioning often how to respond to it…whether I should be resting or doing my best to just carry on, trusting it’ll go as my nervous becomes less sensitized. I was the same! I did the LP in the first few months of my journey (almost 3.5 years ago) and I was so frustrated, it worked for others and not me! I felt like I was doing something wrong and felt so pressured doing a routine 50-100 times a day - it felt like such a chore and made me worse. Especially as I didn't know about the symptom imperative! I now realise, there is nothing wrong with the LP, it just wasn't the right approach for me. I spiralled from there and got severe. 3 years later, February this year, I gave the mind-body approach a chance again, and I am 90% recovered through a less rigid approach. I use messages of safety, journaling, therapy and living my life. That's it. I meditate or sometimes do somatic tracking because I enjoy it, not out of fear. I used to do everything with a lens of fear! For anyone who's interested, I had the following diagnosis: Long Covid, CFS, POTS, MCAS, depersonalisation-derealization disorder, anxiety, depression, PMDD - I even had a dissassociative seizure at my worst and was about to be diagnosed with functional neurological disorder. I was considering taking my own life because I could not function anymore at all - my whole life was one big panic attack. I have a few niggles left, but nothing severe and I am still continuing to get better and better. I do not identify with any of these labels anymore. Happy healing everyone :) I hope I can be a success story in the not so distant future!

If for example, even visualising an activity, causes a fight flight reaction? I’m in this state at rest also Do I just try to lay here and be with it. Even the breath feels unsafe

@Waves353 When we have high nervous system activation, it's often better to move and discharge the stress hormones! Other times, it's more helpful to be still and meditate. But if the breath feels unsafe, that's not a healing resource for you right now. I'd recommend that you choose something that feels safe and work with your biology at any given time!

I have long covid and am trying to heal it from this approach. I love how Dr Kennedy talked about symptoms you can see. My lips turn blue when I walk around and my cardiologist and pulmonologist have no idea why or what is causing it. Can that also be healed mind body?

@amyknox7387 I'm glad you found me! While I haven't specifically heard of that symptom, may people recover from skin discoloration and rash when it's a sign of nervous system dysregulation. As long as doctors can't find a cause, then you're left with a mind-body process. I see many, many people recover from Long Covid and you can too! You might take a look at my blog: www.rebeccatolin.com/blog

@@rebeccatolinmind-bodycoach this is a common symptom of long covid and has been reported on since 2020. it 's hypoxia not a skin condition. the doctors aren't doing the right test and/ or not going invasive ones like MRI's which is now proven kindly refrain from giving dangerous medical opinions you know nothing about. long covid is very different from other conditions there may be overlap but you are not a doctor and you are harming people by being so misinformed.
