@@tapiotolonen7728 I was able to remove the carbs without removing the radiator but it was no easy. I ended up removing the radiator though anyway and it made installation of the carbs much easier.

By the way: stator ,ignition coil source and light coil should be isolated from the plate.....?

No secret… he bought it and I just looked the outboard over. We were out to test everything and make sure it could haul a decent payload 😬.

I know I've mentioned this before, but you make this stuff look easy. Super good video. I have the same bike. So is there no oil in the forks? Mine is in really nice shape, but I've never done anything with forks, so I've been dreading the job.

I will be honest… this was a tough job. I had to adjust my expectations for the rebuild. They are functional and not leaking. So I had to be good with it… and I am. They will probably work great for the life of the bike.

I’ve got a 76 no window XT 500 - Make sure the switch is in run Choke down or on Ignition off Fuel on Compression lever in / pulled Kick 8 times No throttle Switch ignition on Compression lever in / pulled Slow kick down all the way Back to top Slow half kick down Back to top Full hard kick No throttle Usually 3 to 3 kicks When she starts let her warm up Enjoy 👍🏻👍🏻

Those drag bars are definitely not stock. Couple those bars with the wear on the rear tire tells me the previous owner liked doing burnouts on that bike! I think you should stick with the drag bar theme, it suits that bike.

Yeah that's awesome I usually kick through it with the decompression lever in a half a dozen times to get things flowing with the oil. It's the 76 model that does not have the little window I have one. Thanks for making the video your help help out quite a few people
