I have Ocon higher as he’s better than Gasly in average fantasy points (5.1 vs 1.7), qualifying position (14.2 vs 15.1 - especially important at Zandvoort), overtakes (4.4 vs 3.6), fewer DNFs (1 vs 3) and higher average finishing race position (13.6 vs 14.2). I think if it’s based on price alone, obviously Gasly is the best option but most metrics favour Ocon

Hamilton is definitely at the top of the pile with Oscar based on the last 3-4 races. Once Lewis hits $25m though, he’s much harder to justify inclusion as an A Tier asset. I think Alpine’s reliability is questionable. I don’t mind one, but it’s coming with slight risk. Thoughts on Tsunoda over stroll? Feel like you’re getting similar production from both, but Yuki enables upgrades elsewhere and offers more potential team value gain

@@f1fantasyhub interesting. Thanks for the reply. Stroll is scoring more than Tsunoda and is now 3rd in valuation changes and 2nd in Overtakes. so I still think he's a good pick. However, I do see your point as well, as Tsunoda is around $0.5m less expensive than Stroll and therefore the money could be invested elsewhere, depending on your team. Definitely got me thinking.

⁠​⁠@@delermainsportsagree he’s third in valuation changes, but that was before he hit the $15m B Tier threshold (his value won’t go up as much as Yuki if they score the same). Stroll’s only gone up $0.1m in each of the last two races - just not enough cost cap gain to appeal to me personally. Yuki’s currently at $10.9m vs Stroll’s $15.3m, so that $4.4m delta is definitely enough to upgrade a backmarker to a midfield or even upgrade a second premium driver. Hopefully this helps your decision!

I think 1 is a great option without taking a -10 and then you can easily still get to something similar to 2 or 3 the following race in Monza!

@@f1fantasyhub That is certainly true! By avoiding the -10 without much compromise points wise it is probably the best option with regards to points. However, I feel like my 120,7 budget is relatively low considering I am ranked 1245 globally. I might need to build more budget longerterm. That is why I am still entertaining option 2 and maybe option 3, as I expect bigger budget gains there.

I think I really love what you’ve got currently. Personally think Russell deserved DOTD more than Hamilton in Spa, so definitely think he’s ok with another shot at it in Zandvoort. Russell is also a better qualifier than Hamilton this season 👀 but if NOR + PIA are on fire in FP, the triple McLaren lineup is worth a shot

Dang I have the same current lineup as you and was gonna copy this but I'm .3M away from bringing in Yuki. Feels like a great lineup I might look towards for Monza.

I think Bottas and K Mag will score similar at a track like this so it’s who you think is better out of Russell and Hamilton 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’d say if you’re chasing points, I think the PIA RUS (even with ZHO SAR) lineup outscores the Norris one. Budget gain may be a little lower with both ZHO and SAR, that’s the only thing I’d keep in mind

I agree completely. More a fan of HUL GAS for better qualifying. Alpine has some reliability concerns but as long as you’re not doubling up on them, I think it’s ok. I also prefer PIA/RUS/HAMfor budget gain than NOR currently, so will likely angle for some combo of this in zandvoort

I’ll give you two options: 1) Bottas has dropped in price 5 of the last 7 races and I believe Sauber is now the worst car on the grid. I expect him to qualify around P13-15 and lose positions 2) Ricciardo is expected to receive a tow from Yuki in every quali session which increases his chance of a high quali finish. With so many overtakes on the cards, I find it hard he’ll be able to keep pace throughout the race. VCARB are also expected to have the worst race pace according to the F1 simulations

Very fair, think Oscar is still quite underpriced! I dont have running a no-Norris lineup on the cards, but the flexibility that allows to upgrade Zhou to a better driver does seem tempting!

That is what I’m leaning towards for this week. Change Lando to Piastri so that I can upgrade bottas to mag in hopes that I can gain more budget. My team would be piastri x2, Russ, hulk, mag, sarg, Mcl, Merc 🤞🏻

I can get Max in for Norris but it means I have to get SAR for MAG which idm as £2m in bank. Max is looking essential to me this weekend..

​@@crizzyplays Max is a great option this weekend, I just don't like using the final fix chip, better to have Max from the beginning and save the chip. I think Max and Sargeant is more risky than Norris Magnusen, because of Sargeant always going backwards in the race, maybe dnf or maybe Verstappen having difficulties passing the Mercedes/ Ferraris, while Norris and Magnusen should both have a solid weekend. But even though its riskier, it can work, if Sargeant doesn't dnf, maybe something like 4 pts and Verstappen if he doesn't have difficulties passing Mercedes and McLaren will be in the +40s (definitely at least high 30s), while I would expect Magnusen around 10 pts and Norris would depend on many factors (win, driver of the day) but probably at least in the 30s. I would stick with Norris Magnusen, less risk, better drivers for later races and I think they will get more points

@@f1fantasyhub Yep, I'm getting more and more confident in this team. All the teams seem to be stepping into an unknown this weekend with wet quali and a dry race, so I think this is a good compromise. Bit scared that MER is off the pace, but they have a bit of time to improve.

I wouldn’t ordinarily recommend Haas unless your budget is <$110m. Otherwise I’d focus on getting in the McLaren constructor and pair it with Mercedes or Ferrari

I think Magnussen is an easy hold for overtakes. You could swap Hulk for Albon? Otherwise don’t stress about it, I think that’s a great team you have

I could definitely see that happening if he did. If he qualified on pole (+10), then made 8 overtakes and 8 positions gained (+16) to finish p3 (+15) from p11, throw in DOTD(+10) and that’s 51 right there

I think Piastri is in the better car and has a higher points ceiling. His slightly dearer price means the decision is not as straightforward for some teams though
