I have the complete yellow one and when I wind it the same thing happens and what you have to do for the seconds hand to work is shake the watch since this vostok is automatic and wind-up and you must make the internal rocker move just as you would do with a traditional automatic watch and that's all, this is not even explained in the manual

Thanks for the review. I had this one in my cart and and picked up the "Serica" copy/homage instead. This one will likely happen next sale. No issues where a watch is made. Its just a watch, not a lung. Todays watch is the Phylida Chrono with the presentation caseback showing the ST19 movement in all its glory. Cheers!!!

Great review, Matt. Gorgeous watch and insane value. I agree with you 💯 about Chinese watches. They are producing amazing pieces at unbelievable value for money, and they keep getting better. They are also slowly producing some original designs, and when they do more of these then they will truly be unstoppable. I am fine with homages, and to be honest, I myself now start to question spending thousands of dollars on Swiss Made watches. Current Chinese watches like San Martin, Seestern, and Proxima can compete and beat many name brand watches, no problem at all. The Chinese watch industry is one to keep a close eye on for sure. Thank you for sharing brother 👍

One other thing about pagani design in my experience…to avoid potential pitfalls (even newer ones) avoid ones with bezels, they are still very hit and miss alignment wise but mostly action wise some are pretty dam good, others are so light on the clicks a good breeze could move them. Also, if they just improved their lume to addies dive or steel dive their comparable price point Ali competitors they would be moving in the right direction.

I have been a huge fan of Paganini Design watches. I’ve had over 12 of them. They are definitely getting better and better each year and this looks very very solid. Great job with the review Matt.

I got this for $56 shipped from AE. 1) 100 meter water resistance 2) solid links and end links. 3) NH35A (proven movement) 4)screw in signed crown 5)sapphire crystal. I hope the industry is taking notes and step up their game. There’s simply no reason for a $400 or $500 watch to not have all these specs. I love Seikos and have quite a few of them but enough of the mineral crystal on a $400 watch or Hamilton for example, putting a 50 m water resistance on a $500 watch. Sorry for the gripe guys.

Back in my day (started collecting circa 2016) the Seiko SNK 800 series was the quintessential starter automatic field watch. It had 30 meters of water resistance and a "hardlex" crystal. That watch now goes for over twice what this boderry costs. The watch world has really changed. The fact that you can buy a fully spec'd out field watch for the cost of feeding a family of 4 at McDonalds. Mind blowing.

Tag is nothing but a dept store fashion watch kind of like Movado. Tag lies to its customers with the Seiko nonsense. The plastic holder was the cherry on top for me. Their designs are excellent for grade school kids. Heuer is dead and Tag is alive and well. That’s the problem. The finishing sucks and the marketing is good. That’s another issue. Tag is a total mess and not even close to a luxury watch. Both Longines & Oris >>> Tag There is no reason to buy a Tag imo.. I would gladly wear a classic Seiko offering instead of Tag.
