Thanks for the video. As a person who tried a vegan diet for a while l can say that the scariest thing about quitting sugar is that these things are actually lifestyle changes. We need to realize that major dietary changes may mean that we can no longer eat at most restaurants, eat most food served at events or parties, cafeterias, etc. This makes it especially hard for children who are exposed to these foods when they're away from you. So the real question becomes, "Are you willing to change your lifestyle?"

Neurological symptoms (ataxia, loss of short term memory, poor balance, ringing in the ears, photophobia, emotional volatility, etc etc etc) are B complex deficiency!!!! I had CD. I had literally every B complex deficiency in the book and in severe form (with the sole exception of the butterfly rash, absent almost certainly because my photophobia was so bad I never went outside during the day)' ataxia was one of the worst. I could not walk across flat unbroken pavement without continually tripping over my own feet! I started taking B complex. 100mg/day did nothing. My urine was still clear like water. I upped the dose 100 MG/day until my urine turned yellow again, held it at that dose for a few days, reduced it 100mg/day and it stayed yellow kept it there, if it turned clear went back up and so on. Within two weeks all about B complex deficiencies started to improve rapidly and by the end of the third week when my urine finally turned yellow at 2000 MG/day all deficiency symptoms had totally disappeared. In fact all the areas that had been problems were now working far better than ever before. I was not only back to normal function but considerably better. Celiac ataxia is due to being vitamin deficiency which can be corrected in very short order by vitamin supplementation without having to wait for the intestinal lining to recover! I had been 20% below normal lien healthy weight but had only recovered a small part of that before my vitamin deficiencies were gone. In addition I strongly suspect that the vitamin supplementation (I also supplemented all of the vitamins for which I had deficiency symptoms) enabled everything including the lining of my intestine to recover much more quickly than normal. (Total elimination of all processed foods probably had a great deal to do with that because it is the only way that you can reliably exclude all gluten) Doctors should stop listening to all of the garbage spewed by pharmaceutical representatives and start thinking VITAMINS! It's not "the most expensive urine in the world", it dear God is one of the most effective therapies in the world!

I had some medical issues recently that made me lose less than 10 lbs, and that 10 lbs has messed with my whole body, along with some moderate blood loss due to a minor procedure. I have Crohn’s and my GI track has definitely joined the party. Dealing with extreme hunger because your iron is low and your immune system is in a revolt becomes much more challenging when you get sick after 5 bites. Being nauseous and hungry at the same time is awful! One thing I’m trying to do that I plan on continuing is eating a proper breakfast. I have never been a breakfast person. It makes me nauseous. When I was a kid I’d actually throw up from it half the time. I suspect I was having Crohn’s issues even back then because I know a lot of people with GI issues have this happen, if they try to eat first thing in the morning. I used to have to wait a few hrs, but now I’m doing some sort of V8 style fruit and veggie juice or carnation instant breakfast with fruit, and then having either peanut butter toast, oatmeal with peanut butter, or eggs about an hour later with some mint tea. It is annoying having to basically eat two small breakfasts. I would kill to eat one big one and enjoy it like everyone else I know except my husband (he’s a type 1 diabetic and has to do what I do because he will have a glucose spike and drop). But this is better than nothing I guess. I honestly do several small meals throughout the day so my digestive track doesn’t fight me. I will have a sandwich at times when people have snacks, and then eat another one an hour later because it’s not easy to get enough food with Crohn’s, sometimes. I feel like I am always eating but always wishing to eat more.

When I was pregnant years ago with my second son and I was fasting not intentionally I just had a busy morning and didn’t eat, but I ended up having contractions. I had to go to the emergency room when I was there they asked me did I eat anything today and I said no and they gave me some crackers and then a beverage and they told me that when I don’t eat my babies heart rate goes down and so that’s why I’m afraid to fast While pregnant.

I’ve struggled with chronic pain & neuropathy for 14 years. I’m 46 now! Used to take Oxy for the pain! Was fit, trim & managing pain. When I detoxed off of Oxy 5 years ago, I traded it for Sugar addiction! A Secondary Addiction! Gained 80 lbs, clinical depression & in the worst shape of my life! Was even told by my pain doctor to file for disability! I can’t accept that! I’m too young! I feel like giving up sugar will help me get fit & less depression! I’m desperate to get fit & pain free. I’ve heard sugar is making pain & depression worse! Giving sugar up will help me immensely! I just know it! Trying to learn how to do it! 🤓 Thanks for your video! I will implement these 5 steps and keep you up to date on my progress!

I stopped eating sugar and processed foods 4 months ago now. It’s incredible what’s happened to my body. At the age of 49 my body has been transformed. Was 96kg and now am 72kg. Eating home made food, and nature’s natural sugar. So eating a lot of apples especially. Once to begin the journey, you truly have no desire to put any sugar, processed factory made foods. Along with the sugar they add a lot of Trans vegetables oils!!! Both Poison!!!! 🙌🙌🌗💜 x

Lol olive oil, coconut oil, salmon oil etc are all very good for you and very good for the development of your baby’s brain….. too much of anything is bad for you but I wouldn’t avoid these things. Also SALT is extremely important especially for hydration. If you avoid salt you will end up dehydrated, you’ll have bad skin and potentially cause yourself to have worse stretch marks and a lot of other things we all want to try avoid or reduce while pregnant. Do not avoid salt or healthy fats during pregnancy or any time…. Sugar is bad and unnecessary to have at any time so I’ll agree with that.

You’re probably fine now but Dr Fuhrman’s nutritional program is healthy for women, even athletes. He advocates healthy fats, like nuts, minimally processed tofu, and beans. He works out all the time and isn’t weakly skinny like a lot of WFPB men. His daughter is young and healthy with a normal weight and fat in her face. For most people, especially women, the last place the body will pull fat is their face. Once you can see the bones and muscles in the face of a woman, she’s not slim “naturally.”

Last meal? That was lunch. Not being funny, because that’s not enough calories, fat, or protein for an adult woman. Dr. Furman says, and I’m quoting here, “Even a whole-food, plant-based diet could be too low in protein if it is heavily focused on grains, potatoes, and fruit, and low in beans (including soybeans), nuts, seeds, and greens.” If you’re going to do WFPB, you need to add in more food and calories. Minimally processed tofu would be a great addition.

My doctor said that exact same thing as well. Please let me know if you want to talk to me about it and I am open up to anything that you might throw out there for me?

i have to speak up for anyone reading this to say that in 28:30, this is still a disordered messaged. all foods are part of a healthy diet. if you're in recovery and craving non-whole foods, it's because your body needs them. please listen to it. if you don't, the recovery process can be much longer and more difficult than it has to be

i'd encourage you to challenge why you want to stop eating 2-3 hours before bed, and why going to bed with food in your stomach bothers you, so that you can truly get free of all restriction, and of its effects on the body
@NaturallyKarli
@NaturallyKarli 23 күн бұрын
It bothers me bc it causes discomfort and sometimes indigestion. GERD is usually exacerbated by lying down too soon after eating. Not everyone is “restricting” when they decide to eat a particular way that works for them
@ksenia.razina
@ksenia.razina 11 күн бұрын
That’s not restriction, that’s just healthy way, healthy regimen. The sleep is better, when you go to bed after as minimum couple of hours after last food. Sleep is important key to right hormonal work )
@transcendcapitalism
@transcendcapitalism 11 күн бұрын
@@ksenia.razina when you truly feed the body what it’s asking for for long enough it will trust you again and you can heal. that will likely mean that you’re not hungry before bed. If you’re hungry and you’re not feeding yourself exactly what your body is asking for because you’re restricting for any reason, whether it’s due to timing or something else, that’s disordered eating behavior.
@transcendcapitalism
@transcendcapitalism Ай бұрын
did you make sure to incorporate processed food too? i don't mean at all to sound as though i'm critiquing, but for anyone reading this, it can be helpful to realize that sticking with 'clean' foods while refueling can be interpreted by our bodies to be another form of restriction, which can prolong the process. processed foods can also be way easier to digest when we're still recovering from gastropesis and extreme bloating and stuff
@NaturallyKarli
@NaturallyKarli 23 күн бұрын
Again, I appreciate your perspective, but humans have only had man made processed foods for last hundred years (almost). So I find it hard to believe that my body requires artificial food to recover from scarcity.

Often the next 2 days I feel really hard in my stomach and cant go on the toilet even though I feel I have to go. I feel inflated. And after two days I have a perfect bowel movement. I workout every morning or do some physical activity and it can be hard those days I cant go to the toilet. I eat a lot of lentils, oats, berries, fruits etc. Anyone know how this might be?
