I feel this song is about a deep love that was lost; "I dreamed of walking with you, but I fell behind, looking for a road I could not find". He's feeling the loneliness and being disconnected; "No one is calling but the sound is clear, though I'm not yet gone, I'm still not here".

This song has a very profound meaning to me after my dad’s passing. Alexi voice humbles my ears and makes me feel my father’s consolation upon my shoulder when I’m alone or in need of guidance. Music has a way of transcending into feelings, and you have turned that into an art form. Nothing but thank you is in order for this song and the way it makes my eyes water.

Beautiful song. I love his music and wish there was more Alexi Murdoch music available than the 1 album and a few singles that's on KZfaq Music. I check at least once a month for something new from Alexi.

What a beautiful song-like the sound of a train in the faraway night. Love and miss you, dad. Hope to be fishing with you again someday. ❤️

I dedicated this song to my good old fur baby when he passed in 2017. I still remember it like it was yesterday, we will meet again one day friend. Treat your pets right people. You are their entire world 🥹

I know what you mean. Its just me and my Bossy/Jack Russel mix Sarge. I love that little bugger so much, at times I worry about what if he were to go before I did. I would cry like a baby as I did when my beautiful Bossy, named Pip was hit by a car. I had to put her down myself, I balled like a baby when my kids go home and I had to tell them.

I kinda of checked out of it all in 2020, when the One World Government asked us all to believe the science. And when Biden won, I knew we were in for 4 years of bullshit and vomit... I wasn't wrong. Never masked up and never will. Hope your not a Biden supporter...

I first heard this song at my granddaughter’s ballet recital. It moved me so much I had to find who composed it. Found Alexi’s music which lead me to the movie Away We Go which the soundtrack is all Alexi. Amazing how one song can send you down a rabbit hole just to discover more amazing art. This song brings me to tears every time I listen.

And we're supposed to be "manly men" but alas, there are some things that cut us deep, and love and lost love hit us old romantic types hard.

See, the clouds are creeping Towards the sun And I'm slipping away Unseen by anyone The light is turning gray The day is done Water is so cold And heavy on my mind I dreamed of walking with you But I fell behind Looking for a road I could not find And now the ice is stirring And spring is near There is no one calling But the sound is clear Though I'm not yet gone I'm still not here
