Yes, as an American, I admit Boeing has gone down the toilet , greed, and no focus on quality and safety or total quality leadership by the last CEO who they let go with a golden parachute. 🙄. Please explain that one?? I don’t blame KLM one bit. Unfortunately, for the US and Boeing, it’s gonna take at least a decade to turn this battleship around where airlines feel conf and confident in Boeing reliability & safety.

From what I am led to understand, apart from the glaringly obvious that one's a made by Boeing a rather dodgy name in aircraft manufacturing in the 2020s - I gather that the Airbus a350 is offering better value for money and more range. With the current world status many airlines including KLM are banned from entering Russian airspace and of course Ukrainian airspace will be much too hazardous and Belarusian airspace is also to be avoided so it means that KLM flights that are bound for the likes of Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand etc, are having to take a much longer route than they would otherwise like to have done and Airbus a350 is able to give them that more range and therefore means better value for money in the long run.

Pls. refrain from just relaying the marketing gibberish of (in this case) Boeing. The concept presented A WHILE AGO is nothing else but that of the aging 767, only made in newer technology. The problem of Boeing is that they have an even more critical need for (i) a high-end narrowbody (an A321-alike) and (ii) a low-end narrowbody (against the A220), both combined replacing the ill-fated MAX. Boeing allegedly has no resources left to set in place two of these product lines, let alone all three. So there is NOTHING here that would "SHOCK The Entire Aviation Industry NOW". Not now and not ever. THIS aircraft will not be built. Furthermore, there is NO 757 replacement market left. AMERICAN, UNITED, DELTA, ICELANDAIR, CONDOR: They all go with the A321neo/XLR. The only shocking observation is the apparent inability of certain video-bloggers to use appropriate language.

787 but chopped to 2/3. Downsized wing box, wings, engines to scale and that's the 757 replacement.

Hey Boeing - end the 737 dependency. You've seen the benefit of the 767/757 synergy. So start on a single-aisle version of 787. And do it soon - real soon.

Ok, but they seem definitely unable to design anything as beautiful as section 41 front end. These new bows are better than airbuses, but no chance facing 707, 727 & 737...

I'm puzzled why you describe the Boeing 737 as infamous. Could you please clarify? While the 737 MAX faced significant challenges and controversies, it's important to recognize that the broader 737 family has a distinguished history and reputation. The accidents involving the 737 MAX were indeed tragic, but they shouldn't overshadow the legacy of the 737 series as a whole. Let's differentiate between the troubled history of the 737 MAX and the overall success and significance of the 737 lineage."
