I did this drive with my class A last year. It was exhilarating to say the least. My buddy in the passenger seat had a small heart attack but he survived and no dings or scratches on the RV. Great videos, glad I found your channel.

Be safe out there people. It's guys like this that cause wrecks every day. This knuckle head is blaming Blue Ox when he should be ashamed of his hillbilly setup. The Blue Ox manual clearly states no more than 2 connection points and 13-1/2“ between pins. If you watch this idiots update video,(UPDATE!! Blue Ox Sent Us a NEW TOW BAR!) at 12:45 you can see he violates both of these rules. I bet if Blue Ox knew you were abusing their equipment and that is why the first one broke, they would have never sent you the new Avail. Hopefully the Avail holds up and you fix the trainwreck hitch setup you got going on before someone gets seriously hurt. Safe travels.

I don't leave my trailers awning out if there is more then 15 mph wind gusts. RV awnings are too flimsy and usually only held on with a few screws that attach it to the RV wall. The farther you have the awning extended the weaker it is in the wind.

we were driving on the highway when the storm hit and tore it off the rv. This is me on the side of the highway cutting the leftover awning off so we could drive to a rest stop and check the damage. But yes, we don't keep our awning out in the wind either.
