Hi!! I’m so glad you got started on your journey!! So excited for you!! You’re going to do great, especially if you try to maximize this opportunity. I know it’s hard because we have so much to do and we got used to putting ourselves last, but we just can’t do that anymore. Our families will thank us even if they don’t realize that yet. You got this!! I hope your first week is going well. Any side effects? Do you feel any better with food noise or appetite suppression? So excited!! 🤗💕🥳

I was so glad to hear you confirm that these GOP one drugs aid in relieving IBS symptoms. It has certainly done that for me. I started Ozempic in June and noticed that big change. Dr Tyna Moore is amazing. I’m constantly telling people these things. Like it’s a freaking peptide! No it does not cause muscle loss, or hair loss, or blindness. The muscle and hair loss are a known side effect of rapid weight loss and lack of protein, the eye issues are caused by a sudden drop in blood glucose. Even gastroparesis is not linked to the GLP-1’s it’s in fact a natural occurrence in people with insulin resistance. Diabetics especially whether or not they take a GLP-1 will likely experience it since it’s a side effect of insulin resistance. P.S. the “Ozempic Face, Butt, Legs” drives me insane. Dude come on! Those effects are 100% a side effect of any weight loss journey especially so in faster paced losses. O doesn’t cause those things. Argh!! Sorry lol
@2.0mommy
@2.0mommy 15 сағат бұрын
Yes you’re so right! A lot of the things you hear about, have a higher occurrence with diabetics who just so happen to be the majority of people on these medications. It’s very frustrating reading comments from people who speak as if they know what they’re talking about. 😤😂

Exactly. Just my thoughts too. Been thinking about going to 7.5. Scared. I guess I should stay at 5.mg
@2.0mommy
@2.0mommy 2 күн бұрын
If you’re still losing, even if it’s slow, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to stay on 5mg. But you shouldn’t have to white knuckle it either. Lots of people don’t have a problem at all, you may be just fine. Something I’ve considered for myself is instead of trying 7.5 on day 7, maybe waiting till day 10 so the 5mg is out of my system a little more. I’m not sure if that would make a difference but I think if I try 7.5, I might do that. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂

Hi Jill @2.0mommy that section about titrating up really spoke to my soul I tell ya. As you know I just took my 25th 5mg shot on Saturday and each week I question whether I should titrate up. But after your experience I second guess. My dr is happy with where I am at (we will see how my T2D is holding up after all this time when I get my blood work done in the next month or so) - it is so easy to knock ourselves about after decades (especially for those of us who have been morbidly obese for decades) Who would a thunk it wasn't our lack of willpower keeping us in this state. You are awesome and this video is really informative - I sent it to my oldest daughter who just started Wegovy (she's always been in great shape and eats much better than I do but she is struggling as she nears 40 and was diagnosed with Lupus recently (so was my baby sister) Hoping Wegovy will help her with the immune deficiencies that cause issues for her. Thank you so much for all your support across our community. I always look forward to your new videos! :) (also I'm jealous of your background :D)

Hey Donna! Assuming you decide to move up, do you have a little stash of 5mg? Then you can get a script for 7mg and try it and if it doesn’t work out you can go back to your 5mg until you’re ready to try 7.5 again. Then you don’t have to worry about having to use up the entire box of 7.5 until insurance covers your next box of 5. Does that even make sense? It did in my head. 😂 😅 Also I really hope your daughter finds some relief from her issue with Wegovy. That’s so hard. 🥹💕💕 I saw you posted but haven’t seen it yet. I will though!!

Thank you for covering these five misconceptions! This medication doesn’t get the amount of credit that it deserves. It’s definitely not simply a “weight loss drug”. It’s so much more. Interestingly enough, I haven’t had any issues at all with my IBS since being on Zepbound, which is AWESOME! I have also found myself to be less obsessive about things. One of my pet peeves is hearing people tell others they can eat whatever they want and lose weight. A lot of us had disordered eating and promoting for others to continue to eat in that manner just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever! I feel you about hunger being normal. I think some feel like they are not supposed to feel any hunger at all, and when they do, they feel like the medication isn’t working. It also seems as though people feel the need to be overly restrictive because they are so focused on the number in the scale. I wonder if being overly restrictive with calories is what is causing them to feel super hungry. Either way, thank you for making this video because you covered topics that people don’t openly speak enough about. ❤️❤️❤️
@2.0mommy
@2.0mommy 2 күн бұрын
That’s an interesting point about restricting so much that you can get yourself to think the medication isn’t working because you’re always hungry. One thing I’ve realized since starting this is how messed up our metabolic health really is. You have so many on these medications that have been yo-yo dieting for years, then others who binge-restrict, repeat again, and everything in between. It’s so nuanced and specific to the individual with so many factors to consider. And so glad to hear your IBS issues have improved! That alone is reason to keep to the foods that are working for to! 💕💕💕

NO, these medications were meant for people that are diabetic, to help control there daily blood sugar to KEEP them alive. Because the lot of you non diabetics are snipping these drugs because you can’t lose weight on your own, it is making it hard for diabetics TO fill these prescriptions! Diabetics NEED these drugs to stay alive, you can just run on a tredd mill! STOP TAKING OUR DRUGS
@LilSharku
@LilSharku 6 күн бұрын
Hi!! I'm a type one diabetic of ten years and I can reassure you, we don't need this medication to stay alive. I have been managing my diabetes quite fine for the last 10 years without this medication. Keeping your blood sugar stable is easy if you're disciplined. We need insulin but not zepbound.The purpose of the shot is to lose weight. A lot of type two diabetics are overweight which is why they're on the medication. If a type two diabetic needs this medication, it's because they're overweight, not because they need it to live like they need insulin. This medication is for overweight people, and unfortunately, type two diabetics are often always overweight. You need the medicine to lose weight just as she does. Not to help you survive. Zepbound does not help diabetics survive. We will be fine without it
@2.0mommy
@2.0mommy 4 күн бұрын
Sorry you feel this way, but you’re mistaken. The medications that are meant for diabetics are Ozempic and Mounjaro, not Zepbound which is what I’m on. Unfortunately the media has perpetuated this misconception by not distinguishing Ozempic & Mounjaro from Zepbound or Wegovy (used to treat obesity). Hopefully the supply increases so you don’t have trouble filling your prescription. Maybe now you can have less frustration going forward, now that you know that those of us that are taking this for weight management are not taking your medication.

Hi Jill! Don't feel like the lone ranger with the electrolytes. I don't use them daily either as I don't work outside in the heat nor am I an athlete. The only time I use something like pedialyte or gatorade is if I have been sick, get dehydrated and can't eat or drink water. As soon as I feel better, hydrated and normal again, I ditch them! It has saved a lot of money on this journey. I can't imagine how much water retention I would have from the sodium if I drank it every day!!!!

I have to share this video with my daughters for some meal ideas since they are meat eaters. 😊 I have never taken electrolytes and even though I’ve seen lots of people in our community talking about them, I haven’t felt like it’s something I’ve needed. I get a good amount of sodium in the seasonings I use and I drink a lot of water, so I think I’m good without. Even when I was walking 4 to 5 miles in 90+ degree weather, I didn’t need them. I agree with you though, to each their own. ❤ I wholeheartedly believe that less is more and the less stuff I have to take/ buy, the better off I am. 😅 Your little one is getting so big! Hey there Ms Jill! I love watching you out in the porch, it’s so peaceful and beautiful. ❤ you can make faijtas and just not cook your bell peppers I do it all the time and I skip onions because I hate them.

Yes, you’re right. That would absolutely taste better! Unfortunately I always buy frozen peppers because they’re cheaper. 🙈 😂 And how can you hate onions?! 😳😂

@@2.0mommy I don’t know they are nasty lol so just let your peppers thaw, if you prefer them raw they’ll still be raw and delicious for you.

I trust more this video, more than those other "Influencer" kinda videos, this is a normal person talking from the car, I like it
