The BECM on a 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid is typically located under the trunk floor, near the high-voltage battery pack. If you lift up the floor covering or some panels there, you will see it. It's housed in a metallic silvery case with cooling fins. You have to be really careful when trying to access it in hybrid cars because of high voltage. Ensure the engine is turned off. Disconnect the 12V battery terminal, and wait for system complete discharge first. Wear your gloves too.

No it's not fake... I have done it before, although not with the kitchen tool. Car was packed in a strange street overnight, some people tried boggling in through the key, but ended up damaging the door key hole. The next day, I used a similar method to access the car as it wouldn't accept my key.

You are very likely having a temporal code... just clear the fault codes and watch out if it comes again. If it does, scan the car gateway for other codes. Then we take it up from there.

You can find The Body Control Module (BCM) in a 2008 Jeep Liberty located in the passenger compartment. Check the driver's side, under the dashboard. It's often mounted on the firewall or near the fuse box, making it accessible but kindder hidden from plain view. you may also, have to remove some trim panels or other components for a clear path to access it well.

Sometimes the car problem might not illuminate the check engine light, what you should do is scan the car and get exact dtc trouble code.

My Nissan Nerva 2000, started dropping its idle slowly over a cupule of days to a point where i had turn up the idle screw back up to 700 RPM, when the car is warmed up after driving for about 20 minuet's it would give a bit of a misfire while siting at a red light but then come good on acceleration, it only happens when the car is warmed right up..? No vacuum leaks, Throttle body is clean, Could it be the idle air control valve..? Or a faulty TPS..? My car has a 14 pin port, I've been to three mechanics for a diagnostics test and they don't have the right scan tool for my year model, And it never fails when a mechanic takes the car for a test drive, Well the bloody thing doesn't miss a beat. I guess I will have to try changing both.. Also no engine check light comes up on the dashboard..

You guessed right, Idle air control valve, but you have to also look at your ignition systems like the spark plugs, and ignition coil... in most cases when cars idle low when engine is not heated up, it has a lot to do with the ignition coils and or spark plugs as well as dirty idle air control valve. If you can get a scan tool, then try scan it for codes but I believe the solution lies those 2.
