@@roborob4296 Well, the fact is the Architects have literally been to Earth in the past, according to the first game, so it is only weirder they don't have a deeper understanding of our behaviour. Additionally, I still do find it hard to believe such an advanced being fails to anywhere near comprehend a concept (hope) just because it's not described literally. Especially since Al-An is able to use metaphors to describe complex concepts (such as talking about their system as strings all vibrating together in a choir), it's even harder to believe they cannot recognise a metaphor themselves. It is undoubtable they struggle to understand all of the humans' behaviour, which is perfectly believable, but this level of misunderstanding still seems unlikely.

Yeah, some of these tools are more niche than something all the players would enjoy using, and I'm not saying it's not suboptimal design, but they do have uses nonetheless, and the quantum locker is indeed far from useless, if you have the patience to use it, which some people do, some people don't. I've found the thumper in particular to be very useful in establishing and maintaining a base in the ice spires for mining the plentiful resources there. Definitely not something most players would spend their time on, but I am nonetheless very glad the tool exists.
