I like how this basically sums up all of Wings of Fire including the side stories "Darkstalker." and "Dragon Slayer." in about 3:40. You did it a lot faster that I could have done explaining Wings of Fire to my parents.

As with all prophecies, there are some loopholes. The first being that the prophecy was 18 years old when the dragonets were captured by Queen Scarlet. However, the start of the war had happened 20 years ago. The second being "if she bows to a fate that is stronger and higher," Blaze did bow to Thorn, who was stronger. Thorn was also chosen by the Eye of Onyx, which makes her technically "higher." "She'll have the power of wings of fire," is also part of the loophole. "She'll" obviously refers to one of the three Queens, however, it actually hints at Thorn all along. The "she'll" refers to Thorn, having the power of wings of fire decorating the Eye. The third loophole is that darkness DID rise to bring the light. You see, comets are dark while tracing along most of their orbit. It's not until they cross into solar winds do they finally start to glow as trails of gas and dust stream off away from the sun. And on a planet with three moons, a comet rising over the horizon would make the night sky unnaturally bright. Finally, the tidal forces involved as the comet passed dangerously close to the dragon planet caused a certain relic to break, a certain mountain to crack, and a certain slumbering Titan to see the sun once again. But that's not all. Onyx is dark, black as night, yet the Eye spat lightning when threatened. So in the final days of the war, Darkness rose to bring the light. This is what happens when you write false prophecies, it's easy to bullshit your way through them.

Night wings are also inspired by HTTYD or to be more specific, Toothless ! Due to toothless being named because when Hiccup first met him due to no teeth, Tui decided to name Night wings after their talents or looks, EXAMPLE: Wise 'mind or possibly Tear 'cry. Another thing, Night wings got those dark black scales that were also inspired off Night Furies. ( and for loll's I say that ice wings were inspired off of the light fury or snow 'wraith lol }

I’m glad it didn’t turn out actually like the prophecy, it never was going to anyway. The books gave us many hints that it wouldn’t go as planned.

I thought “beware the one who is not what she seems” was referring to the false Clearsight.

The reason why the arc 1 prophecy didn’t go as planned is because this prophecy was really just a fake, so it makes sense why it had flaws

You could also interpret the darkness will rise line as the actual night, and it brought the light with the comet that shone really bright.
