By putting in the stone loading station, you almost put down more belts than just belting the 2 belts into the base would have taken. Belting it home would have been 4-5 city blocks long and 2 belts wide worth of belts (800-1000 if my math is correct), and the loading station uses 327 belts - plus 503 in the unloading station that eventually will have to go in, but without the loading station not immediately.
@Pystro2 сағат бұрын
21:40 I would have plugged that into the "second stage" tanks just to the left, not a tank that is supposed to be always empty. 28:04 Why do you not want it to go that way? It looks like your T-junctions are set up to be able to be extended into 4-ways. 32:24 Those poor tired bots; and the poor bot with the cargo wagon to the top left that's waiting for the rails to go in...

I know these blueprints are already done, but this has been bothering me through the last few videos. You don't need to click the plates in the top right of the factory planner if you don't intend to smelt them in this module. The top right is already the place that lists what you're importing from elsewhere. This way you won't have to calculate manually how much of the iron plates you actually need by substracting the ones for steel. It also makes it clearer what is imported and what is made in the module.

You know what your blueprint book needs? The layout plan, but scaled up to full size, with entities whose names show up on the radar view. (Which I think is only rail stations.) That way you could just plop the tags/markers for the actual modules on top of those rail stations (with the suggested locations), without having to go back and forth between the tiny plan and the full view. Would also avoid making the base 5 wide when it should be 6 wide, for example.
@PystroКүн бұрын
All of your "full grid" blueprints are default rotation. Which means that all of your radars are on paths. You might have to go over the whole base with a "radars only" deconstruction planner and put the grid blueprints back down.

Silly question, why storage chests and not provider chests? Is it for recycling?
@mysticfishgames2 күн бұрын
Exactly! Also, we’ll need some storage chests anyway just so the bots have someplace to put wood/stone/coal when they deconstruct trees and rocks. So this way we can build a single type of logistics chest (for now).

I have thought about it, and decided explicitly not to. I have a day job that works just fine for me, too. But I appreciate the vote of confidence that you think I could monetize it! :)

What kind of mall blueprint contains turret assemblers without ammo assemblers? Yes, admittedly everything still works (and the ammo assemblers would be a part of some future stage, so my prediction of "no problems" from episode 28 still holds, technically.) But having to deal with something like this only 3 episodes into the actual play does not make me feel too good about having made that prediction.
@mysticfishgames4 күн бұрын
To be clear, what I primarily meant by saying it will be "fun for Future MysticFish" instead of "problems for Future MysticFish" was not really that there would be no problems, but rather that I was *really* looking forward to starting the playthrough, and anticipating it would be fun! I appreciate the vote of confidence, of course, but I would also be the first to say it's not realistic to expect we will actually be problem-free. :)

Why did you choose yellow chests over red (passive provider) chests in the mall?
@mysticfishgames6 күн бұрын
I suppose I could have used red chests here with no problem, to be honest. I like to use yellow chests for malls because I can set filters on them and have bots “recycle” materials back to them if we deconstruct stuff, and then we use the recycled stuff before we produce new stuff. (Although to be honest, I should really use circuit conditions to set the max amounts rather than chest limits-I may fix that before the playthrough) We’ll also need yellow chests because construction/deconstruction may produce stone, coal, and wood from rocks and trees that are in the way of blueprints, and we’ll want to give the bots someplace to put that stuff. Yellow chests are a bit more universal then, and we can get away with just producing one type of logistic chest in the jumpstart mall.

If you have an assembler open and control-click on an empty slot in your inventory, it will load the assembler as much as possible out of your inventory.

I feel like it might be nice to have a kind of petroleum overflow valve that goes to the petroleum bus, along with a slight overbuild of the processing capacity. It's just slightly frustrating to make petroleum into solid fuel when it could go to the rest of the factory 😂. Although I'm sure if we ran the numbers on it, it wouldn't really be worth it.
@mysticfishgames7 күн бұрын
Yeah, there is a pump that sends petroleum gas out that should prioritize that over turning it into solid fuel. Primarily this will be for the mall; everything else that needs it will have its own oil processing.
