We are loving the MWC for a solid math foundation! I know you might not be able to answer this...but we are transitioning to Teaching Textbooks for the older grades. I would love to hear your thoughts on that program for the older grades?

We have 7 kids and our oldest 2 have been using the curriculum to teach their siblings second and first grade. They have told me they have gotten better at their facts and learned terms they didn’t know or didn’t remember. I recommend your course to every homeschool mom- it is the best for math skills with relationship building in simple fun ways. Thank you for this great curriculum!!

Hi Kate! Question. If I have 3 kids that are all in different MWC levels, about how long would it take to teach all 3? I would have one in 4th, 3rd, and 1st. Wondering if it would be too much on teacher, me, to have all 3 in MWC.

In your expert opinion would this be a good curriculum for a child who is several grades behind in math? He had an IEP in public school and i am on my second year of homeschooling him and i haven't found a math curriculum that helps him grasp it yet

I used and am currently using your kindergarten and 1st grade math books for my daughters. I’m about to start the second grade math for my 6 years old who just finished her 1st grade math with MWC. I really like your recommendations for picture books because I don’t need to spend extra time to look for those in the library. That’s a great addition for enrichment study. At what age is this appropriate to start? I saw a flip-through of Student Workbook 3A and I believe it's right on with where my son is at---and unfortunately, I purchased 2nd grade back in May because I saw some "gaps"/non-spiral approach to what we'd been using. I think I could possibly start him right now with 3A. Trying to use as much of 2nd grade as possible though because of the gaps.

I LOVE the memory work addition! Please keep that with the remaining books to be released. I’d love to see an assessment book similar to how Math U See does it for the grades 4-6 books. I’m not sure if that’s been considered, but I thought I’d throw it out there.

67 years old, never understood got math. I mange..yesterday was embarrassed, adults laughed at me in woodshop, cause I could not do fractions. He refused to tell me answer.fiqure it before you come back.. gosh. I found your channel. Going to take lot of classes online and see if I can learn math now.. little dyslexia, can not spell well. But I am smart and creative artist, read. And had a successful business .

Hi Kate, thanks for these videos. I have been reading your blog and scouring the web for advice between MWC and Singapore. I understand that MWC is "middle of the road" in terms of difficulty and depth, while Singapore seems to go further in depth and possibly stretch students more. I have a math minded student and I'm trying to decide what to do. I love all the flip through and samples of MWC but don't want to do him an injustice if he has a knack and love for numbers that is emerging. Have you written about this somewhere or have some advice? He would be entering Grade 1 math judging on the scope and sequences I've looked up. Thanks

We just finished Math Lessons for a Living Education Level 2 with my 9 and 7 year old. My 9 year old has dyslexia and really struggles with Math (and reading). We've decided to switch over to Math with Confidence. Although I do like MLFLE, I've noticed some gaps. This program looks perfect for us! Just a question, my 9 year old is still needing to use her fingers for addition and manipulatives for subtraction, but everything else in her math program she understands well. Would you recommend having her start with Math with Confidence Grade 2 or doing the Addition and Subtraction that Sticks and doing MWC grade 3 after that? Thanks!

Aside from the great content, I like the design of the workbook pages -- not too busy but definitely not boring or outdated.

Hi I'm a mom trying to teach my kid (6yrold) who is under spectrum at home .. glad I found your video ... he is good with numbers .. he started additions and doing good ... when he is writing the 2 digit value he is not writing the value in the correct places... so I thought first I need to make him understand the concept of the place value ... thank you for this video ... Will definitely try to use this concept

You teach this in a way that is so easy to understand, it much better than the other thousands of abacus videos that make the subject totally confusing.
