That flutter 4:58 is the fuel injection. The more miles you put on, the quieter the flutter gets. I have 17,XXX miles on my 1200XE, and the noise is negligible…also, you chose one of the best LOUD motorcycles out there 😆. My concern immediately is cooling…that sound deadening is going to keep all that bottom end heat trapped down there. Seems like a L trade off IMO. Ride on!

Last bike I bought a beemer for practical reasons… this time I bought a scrambler for the heart, and you know what… it’s a good old fashioned motorcycle. Flat seat, classic looks, with all the good tech for safety… doesn’t look like a transformer, great engine etc etc… great do it all bike!

Bought a nex XE yesterday here in Italy; the dealer said i should have it for the end of May. i traded in a 2016 triumph explorer XCX 2016, which is a great but huge and heavy bike. to say the truth i did not test ride it the Scrambler but i own a bonneville bobber with the same 1200 unit and it is a great engine; lots of torque, sounds awesome too.

I've had half a dozen Bonneville based Triumphs in the last few years here in the UK. Wishful thinking if you expect Triumph to honour warranty claims, they're infamous for not responding to them. I don't even bother now.

Nice video, I also have a triumph luggage rack which I think claims not to exceed 7lbs or so, did you find when you mounted the aftermarket plate to the tiumph rack if that supported more weight and if so, whats the approx weight of the topbox and its contents? I think that 7lbs is lawyers talk but I could be wrong, haha Thanks

hey... thanks for watching. im not gonna suggest anyone disregards what the manufacturer states, but i am in agreement with you and havent had any issues with weight(yet). i would say my total weight on t is around 20lbs. i dont believe the aftermarket plate affected anything, it just was a mounting point for the top box.

My wife bought me my 2019 Scrambler1200XE for my 40th…five years this week, and me and my Scrambler, nicknamed “The Bison”🦬, are just about at 20,000 miles and a sh*t load of fun. From Washington state down into New Mexico, my Bison has been a beast every mile. Workday commutes of 80 miles round trip, all year around (except when the snow sticks) were the best even if it was mostly slab. A SPEngineering Dual Shotgun exhaust, Booster plug, some DoubleTake breakaway mirrors, a fly screen and 4 sets of tires…now on the fifth, the bike feels perfect. I plan on putting another 20k miles in the years to come…maybe by my 50th, I can hit 50k 🤔 Ride On!

I added this to my 1200 XC, but I didn’t notice the difference like you experience. The noise coming from the engine still sounds like it doesn’t have the sound dampening. Still hear that metallic sound as you describe it. I did not test it before hand like you did, but I’m assuming it’s working. Maybe I’ll notice it when I ride it.

A video on how to use that blue scan would be great. How to use it, where it plugs into, what it’s used for, etc etc. Under your seat where you keep your insurance card and registration is a USB plug. I ran a charging cord from there, ran it under the seat, under the gas tank, towards the front and up in front to the handlebars where my phone mount is. My phone is always plugged in and charging. Thought you might like that idea. Thanks

I’m up in the north east myself. I got the 2022 XC, and really love this bike. Could you please explain that power plug . What type of plug is it, and what can you plug into it? I see it’s not a cigarette lighter, but I don’t recognize the plug and wanted to know what can be plugged into it. Another question I have is, what kind of hooks did you use to utilize the under seat loops? I’ve looked everywhere for the type of bag and even hooks to latch onto those but could not find exactly what could hook onto those. Thanks!
@scrambler_adventures
@scrambler_adventures 5 ай бұрын
The power plug is essentially a cigarette lighter as you say but it is a smaller diameter than what is in a car. The one I have is from Triumph and is just an easy place to plug in a phone charger or whatever. There is specifically a spot to install this on the scrambler.Scrambler. as for the hooks, they are from the Triumph dry bag so they are specifically made to match up to the seat. I'm not aware of anyone else that makes a bag or straps to attach to this seat . Other options would work, obviously but these are made to work together.

Hey @scrambler_adventures - I posted this on your Discord, but thought I'd ask here as well. How in the heck do you have a side pannier and a top box on your Scrambler? I'm so confused and what frame / boxes are compatible. Really want to use the rugged pannier, but I've got a rear luggage rack already installed and don't want to lose that. Any advice on this? Please let me know
@scrambler_adventures
@scrambler_adventures 5 ай бұрын
well... Triumph sells the mounting rack and the pannier specifically for this bike. the side rack they sell is specific for this pannier, but I know I have seen a couple other companies offer their versions online. as for the top box, its just an Amazon model that has a bracket with multiple holes to be able to adapt to a variety of luggage racks. if i remember correctly i put a link to that box in the description of the viseo i made about it. Thanks and hope this helps.

I use the Giant Loop Great Basin luggage for my Scram. I do more off-highway adventuring on this bike. Been very happy with it on several multi-day trips. I have the same fuel bottle holder. You found a nice place to mount it! The Giant Loop bag has attachment points on it, and that's where I put mine. Nice video and looked like a fun trip! I'm planning some over night trips for this spring. Planning to hit the northern part of the Smokey Mountains 1000 (there is a FB group) for a couple of days at least. Lucky to have some really cool on and off road riding along the border of Tennessee and North Carolina.

Is this bike to advanced for a first bike?
@scrambler_adventures
@scrambler_adventures 7 ай бұрын
I am in no way an expert and can only offer my opinion. To me the question if a bike is a "good" first bike has nothing to do with tech, HP, torque, etc. What matters is, can the rider physically handle the bike.... the height, the weight and will the bike be used in the environment it was intended for and most importantly the mentality of the rider. So, yes, this CAN be a good first bike, but not for everyone.

@scrambler_adventures
@scrambler_adventures 8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. So.... Triumph has tried to eliminate the heat issue in a few ways since this bike originally launched. I think it's a subjective thing, like comfort. Can I feel heat there? Yes.... it's an exhaust pipe next to my leg. Does it bother me? No, not even on hot days with stop and go riding. The best answer I can give regarding this is a test ride that mimic your usual conditions. As for me it's a total non issue.

I was thinking about going with the same seat on my triumph scrambler 1200 XC I was wondering how much does a decrease fatigue and on longer rides that are three hours plus do you have any sore spots? Would you buy the seed again after owning it for a while?
@scrambler_adventures
@scrambler_adventures 8 ай бұрын
I have to say i think the comfort level completely depends on the person. That being said, I have found it is a tremendous upgrade over stock. With the stock seat i needed to get off every hour or so. Now I have yet to have any discomfort in my backside even after close to 2 hours straight and the only reason I stopped was for fuel. It is a costly investment in my opinion but it was worth it for me. Thanks for watching!
