Sorry to say but this Video is incorrect. The A-PREP has a 5 ft fence. The applicant must drop their chest and roll over the fence. Both hands must be on the fence and you must be facing the fence when you land. The way the fence is demonstrated is the PREP standard. In addition when you lose grip on the arm restraint you must repeat the action. This was demonstrated as i can hear the teeth chatter. Correct technique is to maintain grip the entire time with both hands. I was certified as a PREP appraiser back in 2001 and I have been an A-PREP appraiser since 2010.

Can't find the firearms education in RCMP by the way.. I am just wondering about that,because I hardly doubt that I will pass this exact test,but it would have been interesting to watch some shooting tests because as I have a huge experience with firearms and insane capabilities with them(noone ever believed my words until they have seen everything with their own eyes,being shocked every time)-so just interesting.. Unfortunately or not I will never be an RCMP officer first of all because I am too old,and a secondly because I just arrived to Canada a year ago,and at least I am glad with my job(not actually a job because it's a business)..But I am the guy who wants to know more every single day of his life🤠

Hey just a heads up TO ALL THOSE DOING THIS FOR CBSA. I successfully completed ALL of their exams and tests, including this one, I also passed 100% the in person interview in Rigaud. The last and final step for me was to meet a psychologist. He spent exactly 12 minutes with me and concluded I was not fit for the job even though I have no history of depression, never been arrested, no history of violence. I am 31, in shape, highly motivated. I could not believe it. After having spoke to many CBSA's, I was told that it's mostly random and alot of people pass it two years later (when they can reapply). So yeah, fuck that and fuck the cbsa for wasting 1 year of my life and thousands of dollars. I have a much better job now anyways...What a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

The whole thing was almost a year, I don't specifically remember how long for the in person interview but I would guestimate about 7-8 months after I initially applied and that's after I passed all their physical and written exams, wasted hundreds of dollars on the gun courses, medical exams, etc. Their process is so fucking retarded, just makes me hate the government even more now, knowing how they treat potential employees and the number of hours and dollars they make us waste. I seriously feel like I should get all of that deducted on my taxes. I work for an amazing company now that treat their employees with respect. And I'm making in the 6 figures. The hiring process was short and sweet (although the exams were really hard and training is incredibly intense) Still much better than CBSA. And frankly I had the idea of getting into CBSA because of guys I play hockey with and quite frankly, they all have a superioty complex and im glad im not part of it now.
@kinison216 жыл бұрын
I feel the same way about them. It's been 2 months that I apply for public service jobs almost every day and it looks like all my applications are rejected by they're recruitment system. I got a bachelor degree with little related experience but I worked ten years in other fields so it should be acknowledged. It just depresses me so much when I see all these 23-24 year-old chicks of Ottawa region on Tinder being so fucking proud saying they work for the federal government. I deserve a good job too, like every Canadian who wants to work and is interested in public service. Is it too indiscreet asking what is your job? It looks interesting.

@stevedonaghey64369 жыл бұрын
Skye Gibbens The RCMP (police in general) is a typical scapegoat for disgruntled citizens. You need to be willing to accept the ignorance and skepticism from the misinformed and sometimes criminal public. Being a mountie is not a popular occupation, but it's proud and rewarding. If you wish to serve your country, and make it a better place. The RCMP or any other police, fire, EMS agency is a great route. -From a firefighter

Join a gym, run outside, anything to be active ! Super important to stay in shape because the training is very intense at depot. The PARE is 6 laps, of course all info is on the rcmp website as well. Cheers! Also keep your nose clean and stay away from the wrong crowd

Understand that this test doesnt qualify you to be an RCMP... Its simply one of many qualifications to get you into depot. Depot lasts 6 months and is exponentially harder. This test, just like the physical exam you take from a doctor during the interview process of your application are merely to conceit that you are in a healthy state and wont die during depot when youre training.
