Furman is the upper end line of Panamax. This setup is a bit overkill for sure, but that's what I'm all about. The PureAV unit is an older conditioner, but is very over built. I am using the Furman's for the 2 XR13 subs and the PureAV for the Anthem 3ch amp. I have 2 different Furman conditioners for the Paradigm 120h towers. I am a dealer for both, so let me know if your interested in any of these. Thanks

Are you missing bass in such a small room? There is no description of your impressions and comparisons to other subwoofers you have had. DO NOT BUY an additional XR13. Sell your current XR13 and buy one SUB 2! (costs as much as 2x XR3) THIS IS the flagship Paradigm subwoofer, improved and made to order from year to year. It made a stunning impression on all reviewers. It can easily provide sound in 130 m2 rooms. It goes down to 7Hz! and has 112dB at 10Hz. And it's only slightly bigger than the XR13 :) Paradigm still calls it the best subwoofer in the world

Hi Peter, I agree that the SUB2 is a fantastic sub. The reasons I don't have the SUB2 in my system is power(and color). I don't have a 220v outlet. I'm also a dealer, so I need to have a couple XR13's in my system. The new colors are beautiful. At the time of this comment, I'm installing a full set of the Founders series speakers in Ruby Frostbite(mat red) I also, have a XR11 upstairs with a set of Founders 80f towers and a 70LCR center in Azure Ice(mat blue). I don't know if you've ever heard the XR13. It's an absolute powerhouse for it's size. With 2200 watts and a 4" excursion, this sub acts more like a 15". It's very smooth and accurate for both music and movies. Thanks for the comment.

I’m covering a 1400sqft area between the pool and patio, how many of these would be recommended and at what distance? Planning to run them in “all channel stereo”, so essentially mono to each pair, 8ohm (amplifier sees 4ohm). Any advice? Thanks!

Sorry for the very late replay. I have been working on a project and haven't been able to check the comments. So, OSD does offer some ok products. They are on the lower end for more of a budget system in my opinion. One to the biggest differences is the Warranty. OSD offers a 1 year warranty on their outdoor speakers. TDG Audio's outdoor speakers are LIFETIME WARRANTY! That in itself is a big deal. The other difference is Jeff Francisco. He has decades of design experience. He has worked for some big high end speaker companies and knows his stuff. I will include a link to a sit-down video I did with him last year. This will give you some insight regarding USA based TDG Audio and Vanguard Dynamics. He is the CEO of both companies. I can even arrange for a phone call with him if you have questions I can't answer. OSD does not have that kind of experience backing them or can give you access to their CEO for questions. As far as what you will need for your system, I would need to get to know your project a bit better. Pictures would be great as well as any other info regarding your yard. I'm sure I can help you and work out a deal with you. I sure have enjoyed my TDG Audio system. My neighbors not so much. lol. You can contact me at [email protected]. I will then give you my company info and direct contact info. Talk to you soon. Rob kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qt98qM6bzMCbXYk.html

Yes, each zone has its own Sonos amp. It's all controlled by the Sonos app (on phone, tablet or computer). You can run any zone independently or all together. How is this compared to the old Paradigm Sub1?
@avdreamer8250
@avdreamer8250 4 ай бұрын
The sub 1 is an incredible sub for sure. However, it is discontinued. The XR13 represents the latest sub technology from Paradigm. Although I can't do a far comparison because I don't own the sub 1. Both subs offer outstanding performance, but the XR13 is a more advanced sub. If you can get a deal on the sub 1, then that may be the way to go. But, if you want more color options and the latest tech, the XR13 is the way to go. Thanks for the question.

just noticing that some of the installed wall plates protrude past where the gyprock is fixed to the studs, in Australia the gyprocker would bend these back out of the way to glue gyprock, which obviously makes it hard to locate the screws thru the mounting plates at final installation, so guys you really need to address this at prewire stage making sure that the edge is a flush finish with the edge of the stud, same as the power outlet boxes. wiring regulations are obviously different between countries with separations from electricity cabling / plumbing pipes, another option is to install short lengths of correctly coloured conduit (yes colour is important for identification to trades) over or around electric cables/pipes. there is always more then 1 way to install cables correctly, what can look good is not necessarily correct ! But all in all you have done a decent job.

Yes, regulations are different in other countries. My installs are only in the USA, so checking local regulations are always important and highly recommended. Good video, thanks. It looks like the speaker wires are mostly NOT attached to studs or joists in their long runs, but only here and there with the black zip ties? So, no need to carefully pin the speaker wire to wood every few feet?

@avdreamer8250 7 ай бұрын
Hello, Yes the speaker wires are screwed to some studs with loose zip ties. You got of be careful where to do this. Keep away from ALL electrical wires if possible. I try to run the cables in such a way to make things as easy as possible for the insulators and sheet rockers. Sometimes they just don't pay attention or care about stepping on or pinching your wires. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Tom. It's hard to compare these two subs. They are very different. The XR13 is a single 13" sub with 2200 watts of power. The JL audio F212v2 is 2 12" subs with 3600 watts. The JL audio sub is also twice the price. It's $10k verses the $5k price of the Paradigm XR13. The output is going to be different. The JL will have more output than the XR13. Almost twice the surface area and more power. Now as far as performance goes. They will both perform well for what they were designed for. If you want maximum output(for movies), then the JL will be your choice. If you want clean pure bass(for music), I preferer the XR13. Plus, it's a much nicer looking sub. This is just my opinion. 2 subs are always better than 1 in most cases. That being said, the X15 and XR13 are very different subs. 2 X15 subs will do fine for most people in a theater room. The increased cone area and having 2 sub locations in your room will make a difference with multiple seating locations. But only after good calibration! If you have the budget, 2 XR13 subs would be phenomenal. The newer technology in the XR13 is superior to the X15. but, it's 2.5 times the price of the X15, so you would expect better performance with the XR13. I'd go with 2 X15's if your on a budget. If not, then you will not be disappointed with 2 XR13 subs. Plus, there much better looking. Thanks for the question.

You say you own the XR13 sub. Are you using it? For a 2 channel or home theater setup? Do you like the way it sounds? There are a lot of variables to your question. JL Audio are great subs no question. Both brands are at the top of their game. It's hard to say one is better than the other. They both have their strengths. But I will say this. Paradigm XR13 wins big time in the looks department. Very good looking sub. And it has a very high spouse acceptance factor. If you are happy with the way it sounds and performs for you, then keep what you got and maybe add a second sub. It up to you. I tell people to try to not get stuck in "analysis paralysis" . @@avdreamer8250 finally an intelligent unbiased reviewer. Yes my friend i own this sub. Not yet integrated into my 2 channel system tho. I'll have to rearrange my whole room first.
