My pick rollers from a 2012 ix500 lasted until 2024 @ 117k sheets. I replaced them and seems to work fine again.

Helpful video and this is an easier disassembly process compared to the complete removal of the circuit boards that other videos show. Do you have any recommendations for getting the new tires aligned at exactly the right location? Perhaps marking the spot that the original, now degraded PU rollers, occupied?

Friend,If your old tire has severely aged, a mark will appear on the shaft, and you can move the tire to the original mark position. If there are no old marks, you can use a knife to mark the iron shaft before dismantling! Okay...so I bought the roller kit with the rubber already attached, placed them in and reassembled the S1500. I am still getting a hum/stop/hum and the paper barely going in. So is the problem, I didn't beat the rubber tires with a mallet? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Friend,Please check all parts to ensure that they are installed in place! If the paper cannot enter the scanner, plz check the pick roller!

@@user-jl5nq7iy6f I actually tried, but it still rolls and sticks rolls and sticks then after 3 tries, it says paper feed error. It seems as if the melted rollers still have residue i missed in the exit roller housing. As the paper tries to go thru, it seems to stick to the new rollers too. Once taking a closer look i have noticed sticky residue on the new rollers, could that be my issue? if so what is the best way to get up that remaining residue in the exit roller bay?

Thank you VERY much for your tutorial! I was hesitant to do it myself, but took it to a Repair Cafe event, and some of the volunteers were able to fix my scanner using your video. It did take a while, but it is working again and I couldn't be happier.

Thank you thank you thank you. Fitijsu said my s1500 is no longer repairable. I located rollers and Amazin and although it took me 8 hours, much to my disbelief my scanner is working again. I never could have done it without your video. Hey, I had only o e screw left over. Not bad

Dear friend,If the PU material has been oxidized and attached to the iron shaft, you must use a steel wire ball to scrub the iron shaft. This is troublesome! but this is a practical and effective method! Fujitsu has flaws in its design! If PU can be replaced with hard rubber, there will be no problem of oxidation and decay!

Thanks for the video, do you happen to have the part number for just the rubber rollers you cut off in the video? I think I have the part numbers for the entire roller kit, but it seems like it would be much cheaper to just replace the gooey rubber tires. Thanks

In this video right about 2:05, the roller cover plate comes right out, but mine seems to be hooked on something on what is the left side. I wiggle it and try to lift it, but it doesn't come out. I didn't actually unhook the front section, but that doesn't appear to have any bearing on this part.

Я тоже долгт мучился, но я менял с термопленкой вместе, там было немного консистентной смазки в комплекте. После 5_6 разборок сборок удалось заставить вращаться, да и шприц с смазкой я выдавил полностью.

Yes how did you remove it? I read that you can cut the rollers with a razor down the middle and fit them it. I figure the lamp will eventually melt them and close up the rollers. The lady that did it said it worked very well
