I'm trying to make my own chess board but a problem I am having is the base layer that you glue the squares to. The base layer I made turned out fine and I sanded it, but before I could glue squares onto it, I noticed that the piece started bending and warping to where it is no longer flat. Is there a way to fix this? What kind of epoxy are you using? Casting, table top, coating, deep pour?

I have to ask, why do you only mix what looks to be about 8 oz of resin at a time? It looks like you pour about 3 cups each round. Given the amount of mixing time, it seems very inefficient.
