TRIBUTE TO JAMAICA BY DERRICK O'Reagan, Engr Aka Kamjel @ 2013 (Spokenwords) OH BEAUTIFUL ARE THE ROLLING HILLS THAT DANCES WITH THE GOLDEN SPRINGS THAT BROUGHT FORTH THE GARDEN OF EDEN. AS THE HUMMING BIRDS POLLINATES THE HIBISCUS TREE, AS THE SKY CARESSES THE VEGETATIONS, OH WHAT FERTILE NATION. A TALAWAH people YES, we are courageous and STRONG PEOPLE THAT REFLECTS THE PERFECT PRISM A REFLECTION OF JAH CREATION. OUT OF MANY, WE ARE ONE; A CONCEPT THAT BRINGS UNIVERSAL TOGETHERNESS AS SLAVES BROUGHT HERE IN THE WEST. JAMAICA, JAMROCK, JAHMEKYA AS ITS CALLED BY SON'S OF SLAVES. HOME OF GARVEY, MARLEY, AND NANNY OF THE MAROONS TRUE REVOLUTIONARIES OF AFRICANS HOME AND ABROAD. A LAND THAT MOLD MY THOUGHT PROCESS OF LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. TRULY, AN ISLE OF SPRING AND UNIVERSAL STRENGTH AS REFLECTED BY THE LIGNUM VITAE TREE,THAT IS ONENESS. OH BEAUTIFUL ARE THE ROLLING HILLS THAT DANCES WITH THE GOLDEN SPRINGS THAT BROUGHT FORTH THE GARDEN OF EDEN. JAMAICA, JAMAICA, JAMAICA, I SALUTE YOU, JAH "MEK" YOU A BEACON OF LIGHT FOR THE WORLD TO SEE.

Jah Calo!!!! Hello from Canada... I doubt that you will see this but we shared a Red Stripe or three and maybe some herb? at Bigga's in Belmont just over 10 years ago. We have 3 of your paintings on our walls. This isn't Evelyn it is Jim on her account. Take care of yourself and hopefully we will be lucky enough to visit your beautiful island again and share another beer with you soon.

Thank you for this, this song/pledge always brings such pride and tears of joy to my eyes. It seems no one born after the 80s knows it. I heard the soundtrack in 'Bluey' while watching with my kids this morning and rushed to share the original with them. I appreciate what you have created and reminded us of.

wow as a little girl growing up in Liguanea, Kingston Jamaica, I would always look to the hills of Jacks Hill and hoped and prayed that one day I could live up there but safely away from the wildfires... Seeing this beautiful view from the drone's POV just rekindles the ❤ I have for Jacks Hill and that yet to be fulfilled desire I have to own a home one day there and on other hills as I have come to the realization just now that perhaps I am just fascinated with pools, hills and nature❤😊

I'm Chinese, born and raised in Jamaica. My family emigrated from Canton City, China, more than 100 years past. When I hear these choral affirmation from my childhood, it brings back immense pleasure of friends, foods and going to beautiful natural sceneries. At times, the nostalgia is so powerful that my eyes water. I am away, but I long to visit again, if it wasn't for the eternal violence. WALK GOOD my friends!?

There was a Jamaica thay we all knew. She isn’t dead, just forgotten. Perhaps one day she'll return. And if she doesn't she'll live on in the hearts of a few. Despite all that is, we will try... try to do our part.
