You kinda have trouble gripping the steering wheel I mean your thumb is switching above and bellow the wheel all the time I mean its not really struggling quick suggestion of mine is to do a thumbs up while holding the wheel :D instead of grabbing it like a pole. @@Ducky-kg8lv Interesting observation 🤔 This was my 2nd time driving it, including the day I drove it at the dealership and brought it home. I was taking it all in still, between all the aspects of a new car, getting re-acquainted to GMR, I guess my focus was on many things. Now that I think about it, normally my hand placement changes by turn, depending on the degree of turn in. I don’t like my hands crossing over so move them. Sort of like drifting but without letting the wheel slide between my fingers in between transitions. On the track, your point is valid with the thumbs. Nobody should allow their thumbs to be in the way of a wheel incase is snaps on you 👍🏽

@@johnrodriguez9720 It was long! It worked out anyway because I had time to save up for a down payment. Nice! You’ll enjoy those Brembo brakes. Night and day differences, plus the initial bite is very noticeable. The stock brakes overheat in track scenarios with repetitive abs stops, but usually pads and fluid upgrades take it away. Once you add big power then it becomes noticeably inefficient, even with track pads. That would cool to go drive! If you check out my IG, I’ve been hosting drives every 2-3 months. I just test drove this car 2 days ago. I was very disappointed. It felt cheap, and like a toy, but for young kids who have never had a decent car, it probably feels great, and the price is too high, gas mileage is terrible. I would not buy this car. I would spend a bit more and buy a 4 cylinder turbo charged Lexus RC. Much better quality and much faster.
@shift__robinsonАй бұрын
Usually disappointment comes from expectations that are not met. What were you comparing this to? If you’re comparing it to the Lexus RC, that’s like comparing apples to bell peppers. The RC is a touring car, not a sports car. Lexus is a luxury brand, not a performance brand. There are many variations of drivers cars, and its okay that the 86 isn’t your cup of tea. It however definitely isn’t overpriced considering new sports cars in today’s market. With today’s safety regulations and technological advances, it’s really difficult for any manufacturer to keep prices at 30k or below starting msrp. Sports cars are toys, age isn’t a factor in how a car makes you feel, its the best bang for your buck in today’s new car market, and the target audience may not care about gas mileage however the mpg’s might be terrible compared to a hybrid. If you look back in history, what makes a car a great drivers car, is beyond all of those things you mentioned. Costs have to be cut somewhere, but what Toyota didn’t fall short on, was delivering a enjoyable, affordable, and practical drivers car that the masses could attain. Ask any driver from any decade, and they’ll tell you that it isn’t about how fast a car goes to be considered a drivers car, but the journey and the way it makes you feel along the way.
