I really feel like people pushed too hard and destroyed the channel they love unintentionally. That was the biggest focus in the comments and it definently hurt his channel and his own self esteem. I feel awful for him.

If I would describe this game to someone, I would say it’s like a sandbox that is your canvas. It’s like the Garys mod of driving games. But that’s the problem with this game they could probably never sell this to a casual gaming audience because it’s just so niche not everyone wants the most realistic handling physics engine ever to be provided by humans. Most people want need for speed or Forza something easy to play on the couch when this game is more you have to be in deep with the knowledge of how to use beam if you want to customize and your tailor your experience. Like how you gonna describe this game it’s a game that you just drive around “and do what?!?” just drive.😂

I only made 2 full fledged mod (not automation mod, but not entirely new vehicle either): Pigeon Performance and Miramar Performance. This video is spot on, I'm working on pigeon performance mod update since keitruck craze is there (as usual, may or may not rlz but let's hope). My mod has kei van, kei suv, and soon it'll have double cabin (van with rear cut off). The challenge of bmg mods is jbeaming right. 3d modelling kind of reworkable to some extent (even if it's jank, example is the dashboard of pigeon performance has awkward 3d uv mapping). Even with my current state of pigeon performance mod, the deformation is downright hilarious.

You touch on some very valid points in your video. The BeamNG community is so diverse I’m sure the developers are under pressure to develop new content in lots of different areas all at once to keep each fanbase happy. I can’t fault the value we get from the game with no payment required for new updates

I've found BeamNG to be the ultimate vehicle simulator. I bought the game to use for off-road driving. I've modded multiple vehicles for mountain roads, sand dunes and rock crawling, it's been great fun. I do like a fast paced highway drive too. The crash physics are just another dimension in a great game.

I think that, just like Garry's Mod. BeamNG is just a sandbox simulator where you can do basically anything. It's the most straightforward answer i can think of at least.

I mean... BeamNG is literally advertised as a *vehicle simulator* (which it is). Saying it's a crash sim is really harmful, mainstream bs that's being repeated over and over by a bunch of ignorant people.

But that’s the thing they’re trying to tailor it for everyone instead of picking one genre when they could’ve sold in that genre pretty big imagine if this was a racing game or an open world racing game or hell even a trucking game with the menu and overall game being more polished and casual it would be BIG

I dont think identity crysis is the right word in this case. They just doing their best to improve the game, and please already existing community. Ive been playing this game since the very first Tech Demo, optimalisation, quality, physics model, everything has been improved massively since the original demo. After a decade with this game I can tell you, this game is only getting better. Thanks to community which only keeps growing, this game will last many many more years!

I think something the whole community can respect is BeamNG hasn’t been obligated to pump out consistent and high level updates yet the devs keep chugging away. Another solid video 🫡

I do have to agree with you on that. The constant quality updates that the devs don't even have to do as often, but do anyways really make this game stand apart from others. Paired with the devs listening to the community while doing their best to improve the game goes a far way. The BeamNG devs are really are doing their best. :)

Yes, I didn't notice this till after recording unfortunately. I'm assuming it's because of another mod or not clearing my cache for a while. I haven't looked too deep into it.

personally i see it as a sandbox game its one of the only games where you can crash a car and actually see the affects of it now if you go on youtube shorts theres alot of crashing but beam is such a vast game imo its one of my most played and sure the aero physics aren't amazing tire thermals not existent but its one of my favorite "racing" games to play theres no other game where i can spend 30 minutes building a car/motor (rks motor pack) then drive/drift/rally/race the car crash it (unintentionally) get into a pickup truck with a trailer and go and pick up the car i just crashed the one feature i really want beside tire thermals is the ability to repair the car bit by bit not just restore it.

No, it doesn't really have one since it's a vehicle, object and physics simulator. An everything simulator. You can do anything with vehicles or objects here. You can play how you want. Build how you want. And have fun how you want. And explore how you want.
