I'm doing this exact thing. But the pump will not pick up the oil. It's summer in Arizona and the oil is 10W30. Its like water. Maybe it's the 3/8 ID tubing and hose. Perhaps it's too big. This will be the third try. I'll move the pump closer to the oil pan. SeaFlo advertises a 1 meter suction. BS. I'm barely 14" above. Tired of lying ads. If that dont work I'll buy a damn submersible. What a pain in the ass.

UPdate ..it took me 40 minutes to fix the exact same lawnmower today after hitting an old iron pipe from the tank in the ground .. it was shaking insane..shaking out of my hands and ran away but i wacked it with a heavy hammer..i know i know use a pipe to bend it but .. Dang now it runs nicer than ever..even the clutch is engaging much smother so i suspect it have been slightly bent before i hitted the pipe

i just hit a pipe with the same mower .. trying to bending it back now

The reason it may have not work is because the original with the super capacitor uses 2 super capacitors in series to increase the voltage to about the working voltage of the lithium battery. One super capacitor barely makes it to 2.7 volts and that is not enough to power the camera or to keep it powered in order to give it time to save the last recorded video. If you put two super capacitors in series you raise the voltage to what the camera needs to make it work. You can also make two sets of 2 super capacitors in series and put those sets in parallel to increase the charge capacity. I am using 4 super capacitors of 2.7v - 7.0F. The higher the farad the bigger the capacitor and the more charge in can hold. I don't own the same camera you are trying to modify here but the mod would be same for any device that needs a super capacitor instead of the lithum battery. Your only limitation would be the space inside the camera to add bigger super capacitors.

All I can think of is that you would want a switch in the cab to turn off the fuel pump and you'd want to turn the engine over while the pump was priming the oil. Then you'd be good if the theory of the whole thing is correct.
